So I went the the local field last weekend to get some games in. It was snowing pretty hard and I ended up getting some water in my barrel (freak barrel) and was having trouble with accuracy all day. I saw some people with some waterproof barrel covers that weren't having any problems. Anyone know of a site to order these or a similar product? Also, does anyone know if the wrapping messes with the air escaping through the porting causing a lose of accuracy?

Thanks

If you're really worried about it, you should get like a SP rain barrel or the J$J rain one (no porting)

Covering up the porting shouldn't do anything to hurt your accuracy.

I've had the same issue before. Regular black electrical tape over the porting works wonders, duct tape would also work.

neoprene Gun graffiti's are probably what your looking for. Hater paintball sells them. Also animal paintball has similar products, which mondo offers several lengths, so u can get one that will fit the whole length of your barrel if wanted.

get some Rain-X (suff for car windshields) and spray inside of the barrel, then squeegee it out.
you can do that to the outside of the barrel too

Electrical tape or the gun graffiti barrel wraps are your best bet. Better than buying a whole new barrel.

The gun will be louder if you cover the porting up and I think efficiency would technically suffer a little (or is it the opposite way around?) but it would work.

I have the same problem with a a Freak one time and the accuracy was terrible, balls curved all over. Though my problem wasn't the porting, the rain had gotten into my hopper and the paint was wet.

efficiency would increase, because the air would have no way to escape except pushing the ball out first.
