Does the cyclone feeder on a 98C interfere with sights, scops, etc.? I currently have an m16 carry handle sight and id rather keep it than get a cyclone feeder.
also, what is a good e-grip for a 98C? I have found e-grips for the 98 Pros, but none for the custom. A link to one would be appreciated.

I am not being a jerk or downing anyone in particular....but why oh why do people insist on putting scopes and red dot sights on their markers? They make it heavier and they don't work. It just doesn't make since. Not trying to be a jerk. I just never understood it.

With an offset hopper (like the $10 X-7 hopper), you can see right down the barrel over the iron sights.
The APE board is by far the best option as far as E-triggers go. No question or hesitation about it. The following package has everything you need to take your mechanical marker into electronically driven paintball storm. It's as close to shooting Nirvana as you can get with a Tippy.

Works fantastically when I'm hidden and don't want to give away my location with more than a shot or two, and is far more accurate than using the iron sights or eyeballing it. I've even managed to train myself so that when I lift my gun, a little red dot appears in my vision every time.

How much weight is a red dot really going to add to a fully loaded Tippy anyway? Tippmanns aren't known for being ultra-light, once you add a full hopper and air tank, the little extra weight that a red dot adds won't be noticeable.
Scopes baffle me though. A paintball just doesn't go far enough to justify a magnified scope. Although I have seen where people have a scope merely for the "OMG a sniper" fear factor from the new kids at the field.

much thanks to corrupted, but i use my current iron sights often with great efficiency. however, i would only use a red dot sight or a scope if it was raised, otherwhise you can't use it with a mask on.

I am going to buy a an APE Rampage Board. Corrupted355 helped me decide to go with the APE, so I would listen to him. I have done a lot of research on the APE vs. The Tippmann E-Grip and have found that the APE is the best option you can get.

First, I would like to thank BushidoFl18 for being nice about the way he stated his opinion.
Second, I to have used sights many times, they arent extremely accurate but the do get you close. I just got my Tippmann, so I dont have them on mine but one of my friends has a red dot site and it will hit within one to two inches of where you were aiming.

I've got the cyclone feed w/o any rail but my fiend as the same M-16 yur talkin about and its fine for him. But definitely get the cyclone feed. Tippmanns aren't the best guns for ROF, but with a RT or e-grip and a cyclone, this gun can easily pass for a speeds gun. u wont be dissappionted with the cyclone, trust me.

first of all, nicely approached. a comment like that would have raised all sorts of hell in quite a few forums...
red dot scopes do all that they are intended to do, and bieng the owner of one, i can say they do it well. but i've said this many times before, it all comes down on the way you like to play. i like to ambush people, and the red dot scope helps a lot in first shot kills, and therefore i don't waste more paint than i need to. but if you like running all the time, it doesn't help that much, but then again, hitting something whilst running hasn't always been that easy, with or without a sight.
telescopic sights are good for spotting purposes, but too much magnification won't help with accuracy, because of a paintballs unstable flightpath. but man! do they look cool on your gun.

i've seen a 98C with picatinny rails with three sets of rails on them so u could put the scope on the left side keeping it out of the way of the hopper and making it a lot easier to see with a mask on. looks wicked cool too
