I dunno my Piranha STS works great and with the razzor barrel is dead on accurate (w/ right paint/barrel match). Gun W/ barrel is $200
spyder, piranha or tippy, there all good.

I think im gonna buy a tippy and sell my JT. I don't like it how if you change the trigger frame you have to change the whole bottom of the gun. Just to much work for me.

Spyders and Pirana's (sp) may may be slightly more affordable than the tippy, but nowhere near as durable or as customizable. However, if you truly want to decide, hold a tippy. just ask somebody at the field you play at who has a tippy if you could hold it and test-fire it. That's the ultimate test for a paintball gun. Does it feel good?

Nowhere near as durable and customizable? Where did you get that from? Spyders and the like are just as durable. It's not like you are going to throw your gun into the dirt and run over it with a lawnmower. Ebonclaw's spyder had sand shot through it by a newbie that borrowed it. That shows durability. Now onto upgrades. The spyder is the second most upgradable gun out there next to the cocker. You can even get a closed bolt kit now. Do you know anyone that has built a tippmann from scratch? If you do please show me a pic or something. I know the tippy has some nice upgrades (the rt trigger comes to mind) but tippmann charges a lot for them because there is no competition for upgrades. $100 for the flatline? Give me a break. These are some of the reasons on why I think your statement is a little off base.

Wait, are you on a budget? I'd say a Impulse w/out a doubt if you can swing one.

o ok impy are cool but....... i noticed everyone on the thread only named low end semi markers what about cockers .............. they r the best semi ... true i think cockers rule and you should get one of them if u dont wanna go electro............... ummmmm
2002 WGP Cocker $350
N2 Tank Crossfire $150
Barrel = $80
then you will be set with a really nice gun

Im not ready for a cocker yet, there are to many pieces :S. I don't think tippmanns or spyders or anything like that are low end. They are in the mid level, and the cockers, and minimags are high end. Id classify low end to be Brass Eagle markers.....
High End Semi's- Cocker, Minimag,ext
Mid End Semi's- Tippmann, Spyder, ext
Low End Semi's- Brass Eagle
I know there is alot of people that wouldn't agree with me, but that just my 2 cents.....

Ya, I sort of agree. How about this:
High End: Emags, angels, tricked cockers (Timmys, excals, ect)
Mid-Level: Stock cockers, stock impys, stock mags
Low-Level: Spyders, tippys...
Sub-Par (POS): Brass eagle!

I have a T98c, and I love it. If you're worried about 'too many parts' a durable T98c may be a sweet gun for you. I've played with several different low-to-mid level guns, but I decided to buy a 98c because it can be upgraded to match some pretty nice markers. But, no matter what we'd all like to think, it's not the gun that makes the player.

Ok, first a m98 has way more parts than a spyder...things like that. They are realiable though. Ohh, btw imo, guns don't make the player, they help the player.
