I just purchased a fairly new tippmann a-5 with a collapsable stock, i plan on getting a remote and a compressed air tank for it, i enjoy shooting from a far and undercover... such as laying down un tracable cover fire for some of my teamates or elimanating the oposing team un detected... although that allmost never happens its kinda fun haha anyway.. i want to up the game play a little bit by possibaly purchasing an apex barrel system, being able to curve balls around objects to make seeing me even harder and getting those kids hiding behind that tree just that much easier and even taking out the guy behind the wall with no problem sounds great.. my question is does the appex barrel actually work when used correctly, does it do what it says it can do?
iv also heard the appex can actually shoot balls just as far as the flatline can, which makes me think even if the paint doesnt curve as great as advertised that its still worth buying

I'm guessing AmbushOrigin is referring to the reviews section (119 reviews)

The reviews here have to be taken with a grain of salt, there are always fan boys out there, and it can take a long time to filter through the garbage. I know I trust how people respond in the forums more than I trust the reviews.

there were quite a few threads, not directly towards just the apex vs flatline with lengthy discussions.

A quick overview.
1. apex isnt picky on paint, flatline is
2. apex does everything it says it does, just it takes practice to learn how to set the barrel and get use to its flight pattern.
3. flatlines wear out over time, apex's do not.
4. the apex tip can be removed from the stock BT barrel (same as stock A5 barrel) and put onto the new all american apex front, the lapco bigshot apex barrel, or adapters can be bought to put it on almost any barrel. Or theres the homemade tape adapter mod to put the tip on almost any barrel.
5.Flatlines only work within a certain velocity range, apex's will work at any velocity range.
6. Apex is half the price of the flatline
