whats up guys? im a noob to paintball but got really hooked on it after playing. my current set up is:
spyder pilot ACS
all american "16 linear barrel
dye stickys 3 grips
clamping feed neck i got from a local shop
virtue board
HALO hopper with V35 and rip drive

i got the pilot because it was cheap and my research concluded that it was a good beginners gun and with a few upgrades it can keep up in serious play. for the most part i like it but it is really heavy and really loud.
im looking at two new markers. both WGPs. the autococker prostock and the trilogy SF autococker. im leaning towards the trilogy SF because stock it comes electronic and it has eyes. however ive read that the trilogy series should be "stayed away from." if i do get the autococker prostock im planning on upgrading it to electronic. so some questions:

will the eblade frame fit on the trilogy?
what would i have to do to install eyes on the prostock after i upgrade to electronic?
opinions on which is better from you guys?

thanks

Well the cockers won't feel much different then the spyder when it comes to weight. Cockers are not known for they lightness. Anyway though, you can worrframe the prostock (e-blades are discontinued so finding one new will be hard). The trillys aren't so bad since they do away w/ 3 way making it a little easier work on and maintain. If it was me though out of the two i'd get the prostock and put a worrframe on it. The best bet though if you want an e-cocker is to pick up a used one like a superstock, black magic, or an upped prostock. Oh and about the "eyes" older cockers have one eye not 2 so it's just eye and not eyes.

You'd need to do the whole electro conversion. New frame, board, mechanical solenoid, pneumatic solenoid, eye, eye wire, and ever cover. You might even have to drill an eye hole but i'm not sure since i've never owned a mech cocker.

Trouble is, you are searching for markers that are becoming increasingly hard to find (except, of course, for the SF).

All Prostocks are gone from the internet retailers, so you'd have to find used or local. Superstocks are all but gone as well.

Finding an electronic frame for a cocker is both expensive and difficult. I've only seen them at ANSgear for $250. You still need to do the work for drilling eyes.

In summary:
-If you want it electro, buy it that way to start off
-If you want a non-trilogy cocker, you are faced with buying used
-If you have money for a mech cocker and an eblade, I'd heavily consider something that isn't a cocker, such as PMRs, Minis, Fusions, Quests, or used high ends. Less headaches, less weight, more performance for the cash

I just say expand away from Cockers and get something else. Honestly the Pilot ACS is not a heavy gun, and if you think it is then the only guns you won't think are heavy is the Mini, some Egos, and a few others. For a small, light, and quiet gun I'd suggest the Rail.
