the barrel sucks BAD
he couldnt get it above 180fps
it cuts off air flow

take it back and get a low end spyder or piranah

My younger bro bought a black maxx for his first gun and it worked ok. It needed a 1/4" spacer and the velocity turned up 1/2 way for it to shoot at the correct speed though. A stiffer spring would have done the trick. The stock barrel is ok for speedball and actually is one of the better stock barrels i've seen for its length. Upgrades for a traccer are few and far between i'm afraid. The farthest I would upgrade it before getting a better gun would be a remote and a new barrel, probably a cp or pmi one. Beyond that, I'd recommend a new gun like a spyder or piranha because all of those upgrades will transfer over.
