Well since my first thread was deemed a "vs" thread (understandable I suppose) I'll try a different approach. What are the most common gripes about the mini? I've read the reviews on the gun but they seem really outdated or completely useless.

It can be too small for some people, and i've heard that some dont like the feel of the trigger.

i personally love the trigger, but sometimes at random mine will shoot a small puff of air out every time i shoot for a little while, then it stops... personally this messes my trigger speed up, but it might not mess you up.... overall, i think the mini is a great gun!

My review isn't completely useless. :dodgy:
Trigger isn't that bad, probably one of the better stock triggers for guns in the Mini's price range.
There aren't really any flaws, persay, although the bolt spring does need a break-in period of about 2000 shots. But the stickies say just dry fire a bunch when you first get it. And every gun has a break-in period.
The gen 1 Minis had board & poppit problems but Invert has since addressed the issue (replacing the parts free, even) and all the gen 2 Minis (ones you'd end up getting if buying nib now) are just fine.

Yeah I bought mine over the weekend and they only things that I dont like are the trigger (it wobbles back and forth too much, any suggestions on an easy fix?) and having to open up the handle to access the different modes of fire (which is understandable for field/tournament play but its still kind of annoying). Other than that I love it so far, its an amazing gun.
Edit: I saw your other post about "shims" Nerdcore, please elaborate I'm a nub lol ^_^

the RI trigger is a possible fix, has very little side to side wobble.

The APE board allows you to change modes by tapping the power button - the feature can be locked out of course, and the modes available to this feature can be selected (so that rather than scrolling through all the available modes, you could set the board so that it just toggles between 2 modes, or scrolls between 3 modes, 4 modes etc.), or the board can be entirely tournament locked to one mode. The APE board offers lots of ways to set it up, and even has five memory banks so that you can save your favourite settings and switch between them, rather than having to keep re-programing the board.

...having to open up the handle to access the different modes of fire (which is understandable for field/tournament play but its still kind of annoying).
If you want tool-less access to the board and battery, try the thumb screw mod in the stickies here:

If you want a drop on a Mini, you're out of luck due to the specialized regulator/ASA/gas-through grip design. If you want an on/off for your air system, you can use an inline on/off like this one here (I think NDZ makes one as well):

No one has really said it, but the Mini is not field strippable. The bolt is not something you could or would want to remove on the field for quick cleaning.
While there are plenty of worthy upgrades for the Mini, straight out of the box, all of the Mini's parts are at least pretty darned good. The electronics support different modes of fire including ramping and you can set bps from 10 to 20bps so you're ready for most any tournament including the new 13.3bps tournaments. Personally, I'm still shooting a stock Mini with the exception of the barrel and a magnet modded trigger.

Some ppl don't like the tigger, but that's mostly just preferance, but I like it just fine. Other than that I don't think anyone has any other complaints about this awesome marker.
