this is just written out of pure anger, but some of the truth applies.
i was at the paintball field, and i had a nitro tank picked right out of my bag.
i know this happens to most, and that i am just really taking it harsh, but my damn nitro tank got swiped while i was playing. it was finally working, and someone stole it.
the game has such a bad image, because people are low-life *****es who steal and smoke and drink before the games. it's just down right wrong. you have honest, nice, cheerful players, but on the other hand you have those *******, *******, cheats that come and just ruin the experience for eveyrone.

That is really too bad man. I wish I could help you find it.
Some paintball players really need to grow up and get a life. I see some fake reviews on this site and that just reminds me of how bad we need a registering system to place a review. This site is awesome but so many punks bring it down by writing fake reviews and posting trash. That is the only downside of this site. Out of the 40 reviews on the new review page, I am guessing that 25 out of 40 are fake and full of disgusting things and swearing and just plain non sense.
Sorry I am ranting *smacks self in forehead* I'll stop now.;)

Yea, that really sucks, If i knew who it was, I'd shoot in them marles for you.
But yea, i stopped reading the reviews on this site because probably 80% are fake, good reviews = people either- trying to defend their gun, in denial about thier waste of money, never used it before, or trying to make the company or gun look good. and bad reviews = either- rival gun owners (ex. kingman going into the tippmann guns and writing fake reviews about them to make them look worse than spyders, ans visa versa.) trying to make the gun look bad, or (I hate this the most) Immiture little 10-year old kids writing fake reviews about the blade and talon trying to funny:pissed: :pissed: :pissed:
so yea, i stopped looking on the reviews because they prove to be no help. everyone on the nova 700 review said it was quiet and accurate. it turns out, my new nova is not quiet, very inaccurate and breaks so much paint It looks more like a spray paint can with a trigger and barrel. so yea, Im really getting pissed off at these people, especially the thiefs, I can never play care-free anymore because I'm scared of my gear getting jacked.
In every sport you have idiots. I always watch everything I have, morons like that should have the sheet kicked out of them.

in between games, i keep all my gear locked in the car, and i always get to the park early so i can get a spot right next to the staging area. someone almost lifted my phantom once, luckily i was at my car when it happends, i came over and kicked the kid in the kindeys. Almost got perminatly thrown outa the park.

Hey, don't take down the reviews so easily. I and along with some other people are doing our best to report those bad reviews. I'd say out of 40 reviews I see about 3 bad ones. Then I report those so no one would know there were bad reviews in the first place. BE reviews on the other hand are just awful. I let the other guys handle those hehe.
Sorry to hear davkad. What field do you go to?
From what I hear about people getting robbed, I think I'll keep my stuff in one of two places. On me or in my locked car.

well go back to the field next time there's a game and tell them you had it stolen at the field and that you plan on killing the low life ****er the moment you see your tank... well maybe not kill him but i know i personally would or i'd at least bring him half and inch from death

Too bad davkad, that really sucks.
At our field, it is kind of hard to steal because the staging area is small, and the ref who is supposed to be out watching, is in side messing around. I have my stuff in a bag, under a bench, and it has never been touched. Pretty soon though, we will lose our easy life because more and more people are coming.

u should have to tag your gear when you come into any field, after you come in the gates are locked and no one goes in or out, but to go out you must show your gear with the tag and if it's correct you and go, wrong well better explain quickly. it shouldnt slow down thing that much if you have two people working it.

Yea, I'm sorry dude, that really sucks. You're right, I hate the lowlives who steal, cheat, spam on this site etc. They do nothing but bring people down. I've never had anything stolen from me, but always fear it. My marker never leaves my sight, and all of my stuff stays in a locked gear bag. Again, I'm sorry for your troubles.

Sorry about your tank man I know exactly what that is like, on my first day of play ever about 3yrs ago we had just finished something like our 3rd game at the field and I was back at the staging area cleaning my goggles (it was splatter ...... I swear). I turned around to get some towels and when I turned back my brand new Spectras were gone. Of course no one saw a $%&#*@ thing and I was gonna have to pack it up and go home w/ no mask. Luckily the field owner let me use his personal flex 7's and I played the rest of the day. The field owner told the local pro shop what had happened and they sold me a new set of spectras for dealer cost. Hell at the last world cup the same pro- shop owner had his Bonebrake angel and air system stolen and his friend had his Evo-Cocker taken right out of the PMI tent. Now you know some 12 year old kid is playin with them in the woods but eventually he will need a part or some service and if were lucky his local pro shop will recognize them and shoot him in the face with rock salt. The thing I do is I engrave my name and phone # on all my gear in an out of the way place. That way if some-one does take it they are gonna have a hard time hiding it.
Tell your local pro shop to keep a look out for your tank especially if it needs parts, who knows you might get lucky.

I always end up customizing and altering my stuff to weird levels, so all my team members knows what my mask, gun etc look like. If they ever see somebody else with my stuff... well... ever heard the phrase "A friend with help you move, but a best friend will help you move a body" :D

Was this at Area51? Someone else had a tank stolen a few weeks back from there. Seems to be an epidemic in Toronto recently

I wouldn't think twice (or even once) about getting thrown out of a field if I saw some dumb f*** stealing my stuff. I might even hit him with the stuff he tried to lift, just to help make him remember. Marking your stuff is a great idea; I think I'll do that too. Thanx for the idea Cobra.

Know what else is a great idea? Getting your stuff insured! You can do it guys, and it's really alot cheaper than being out a couple hundred bucks if your stuff goes missing

Something else that helps...
Put some sort of big bold mark on your stuff. Something you will notice from a distance. I put a band of colored electrical tape around my tanks. Sure it comes off easy, but it helps in those "turned around for a second" moments.

I don't see hwo you coudl do that. every single time you would look at your tank you would remeber you stole it and i would feel guilty. Just makes no sense to me. he probably is just gonna sell it over e0-bay so i'd watch the auction sites

That sucks, and i hope you get your tank back. Whenever I buy a piainball thing- revvy, tubes, pads, pack, tank(not gun or barrels) i give it all the Krylon touch with some electric blue. i don't paint it, but i do give it a bold mark. i and everyone around knows that it's mine, so it's easy to identify---this works with tools too. it's not the greatest on looks, but who cares? i've only lost two tubes the whole time i've been playin (6+ years) and i don't think they were stolen.

get a custom jewel put in. they look real cool, and so will the theif. so when he brings it to a field people will recognize the custom jewel and its back in ur hands.

it's not even a question of custom markings.
it's a very distinct tank...
it's all white, and it has a huge square reg. the tank has mismatching gauges, and just the fact taht the regs weren't so great in the first place makes them pretty uncommon.
so....
the problem is spotting it.
p.s. my 12v is also gone.

Dang davkad, maybe you should hire some bodyguards for your stuff.
I just can't stand people who steal. In the old days, they used to brand the kleptos so people would know they had a history. You could have your bodyguards hold cattle branders.

Ya, I do worry about it, though you couldn't tell probably if you ever see me play. I play out at WAP, and everyone leaves stuff out, cars unlocked. I for the most part play w/ all the nice expensive stuff I own, but my Raven gear bag, tools, rebuild kits, stuff like that stays behind. I've never had a problem, but I do worry about it. Nice thing about WAP, hard to make a get away, and you could probably find your stuff pretty quick, those of you who have been there know what I'm taking about. Plus there is some always in the staging areas so it'd be pretty obvious...some times, I hope.

We are friendly too him, and my friend even lets him use his backup barrel. Its a 2 piece, like 80 bux. End of the day, everyone says bye and wut not. And my friend goes, my backup barrel is missing!!! wouldnt u know, the friend that brought the new guy calls us up, and hes like..err..i think ***** tried to steal ur barrel..sorry..
whoa, my friend wuz mad, but we invited him back nextweekend *SHOCK!*. he left his stuff unattended rite b4 he was about to go, we did not sink low enough to steal any off it..but we sure as hell unloaded with everything we had onto everything he had.

Sorry to hear about that. I guess we are all a little guilty of trusting fellow players at the field.
If you see someone with the tank then be sure they didnt buy it from the real thief before you open a "Can of Whoop *****" on him.

At our field, we keep an eye out for people who aren't regulars and keep an eye out on each other's stuff. I think that field owner's need to step it up a bit as well to see that lowlife's are kicked out or not allowed on the property. Maybe providing free lockers is a cost to them but it it will keep us good people comming back. I keep my stuff in my car but over 80% of the people at my field don't have cars. those of us that do should help friends and fellow regulars at our fields and keep their stuff locked up for them.

What people should do is when you come into the field you write down ALL of your equipment on a card And when you leave you show the card and you check to make everything that you have is on that list. If you bought something while inside you get a card to say that it belongs to you. That would stop coming in taking things then leaving.

What if pball parks started having lockers like the ones waterparks do? Ya know, you pay $5 and get a locker rental for the day?
Well Dav, look at it this way, it coulda been an Angel AIR. Still, at the very least, this theft has helped me become a more creative person. I've already thought of 657 ways to kill the guy if I find him with your tank.

I've only been playing about a little over a year, but nothing stolen... hopefully never. I usually play w/ my friends in my field, which is no problems because everyone is cool and we touch our own stuff (besides borrowing paint). I better not catch anyone steal anything at a field or even my homefield :eyes: They will be banished, lol. A tank stolen really sucks.. so does a gun. Hell, I would get pissed if someone stole a couple of my pods! :pissed:

get an empty box thats says like "Marbelizers" or something expensive on it and fill it with Brass Eagle paint. Set it out on a table in the open and wait. If it get's swiped, boy will they be surprized when their stolen paint turns their gun into a paint ball super soaker! :D
when i started playing paintball a few years back, the first time i ever played at a field i was so frickin impressed about how honest everyone was. people left cockers out in the open and got a snack. now there are so many newbs out there who think the gun makes the players that people have to actually resort to locking up their gear inside their car. so i propose this. watch out for everyones gear, remember faces and which bags they go with. you see someone getting some gear that you dont htink should be there walk up to him and confront him. wait for the owner to return even if the thief says they are related or friends. also go with a group of friends and you can keep an eye on each other. also i propose an open bag policy. if someone has somehting stolen, i say everyone should volunteer to open up their bags and let people root around (ignoring the weed and beer of course). and the one person that refuses will be banned from the field, and jumped after he leaves the property. will this be intrusive? yes. will this be a pain? yes. will this stop thievery in one second if they know they cant get away with it. yes. also inform other people around u what gear u have, and whose allowed to grab it. there are more good samaritans out there than u think.
