Can a Tippmann 98 Custom work on compressed air? Not like Nitro but like compressed like from an air compressor.

Compressed Air is more or less the same thing as Nitrogen.

So, yes.

the thing is that the compressor needs to be able to output enough pressure to fill the tank. If you are trying to run the gun directly of the compressor probably not, since a stock 98C runs at 800psi and I doubt the compressor could output that consistently. Also you'd need a filter on the air.

Your absolutely right.Your standard air compressor doesn't even hit 200 psi. So theirs no way that you could fill an HPA tank.

There are very few markers that could run on 130 psi, which is about as much as you'd be getting out of your garden variety pneumatic tool air compressor. I've seen a few 'Cockers that have claimed operating pressures that low, and I'm sure there are some EP guns that could go that low if tuned properly, but there's no chance any current blowback could operate that low.

Now, if you were talking about Nerf launchers, that'd be a whole 'nother story....
