This thread is for the DIY-ers. If you've drilled, cut, glued, epoxied, molded, bolted, or otherwise modified your Tippmann, I wanna see it. I don't want to see anything you bought that was designed for your gun and put on as per the instructions. If you post up "I installed an E-grip", that board better be either using the programming you designed or installed in the front grip. I wanna see anything you've got with the "built-not-bought" label.
I'll get it rolling with something simple. It's a very basic mod for mounting an E-grip on an R/T-equipped A-5.

If this thread survives long enough, I'll add up the pneumatics I'm working on (assuming that my parts ever get here).

Would this count?

Under barrel grenaded launcher that operates off of the markers air supply. Air line split after the Tippmann regulator, one goes to the marker, the other has a 1/8" high pressure on/off valve and quick disconnect for simple grenade launcher and removal and installation.

I like that, but it's gotta put some weight on the front with that mini compression chamber there. Does it get much use?
I was thinking about making a little 12g powered launcher to hold on my back, but if this doesn't weigh too much, I might consider doing it this way.

It only adds about 2 3/4lbs. Mini compression chamber? Do you mean the expansion chamber on the launcher. It will be getting more use now that I got some nerf rockets to use with it. The pause between shooting paintball and the rocket in the video was just me taking my time. I can reload and fire the launcher rather quickly while sustaining fire.
My underbarrel launcher has several advantages over regular launchers:
Don't have to put down marker to use launcher
Don't need teammates to provide support firing
Can reload and fire easily while sustaining your own fire
Can be uninstalled or installed in under a minute
Operates off markers air supply eliminating the weight from another tank
Breach loaded with bolt action style barrel locking
Removable barrel
Shoots paintball grenades, nerf rockets, multiple paintballs, etc
Charging and firing launcher only takes a couple seconds
Etc.

Mini compression chamber?
The fittings you're using to hold a volume of air that propels the projectile. All that galvanized behind the barrel.

I usually call that the expansion chamber or air chamber.

Don't we already have a custom mod forum? not trying to be a stick in the mud. the 98c grenade launcher is bad to the bone.

Was that grenade launcher improvised? Anyway these are my mods...

My grenade launcher is the 4000-A by Scepter Combat Systems. That one came with a two-way hose-fittin' that split the air 2 ways from the ASA. I decided to scrap it because I didn't wanna have a long hose goin' from the back of the marker goin' all the way to the front. Another reason was that there was no air regulation so I was goin' through o-rings like crazy. I decided to duel-reg her (not shown in pics [Female Stabilizer to Male Stabilizer]) and use the "OUT" fittin' on the male and attach it through there. She's pretty well balanced out aside from the over all weight, that's why I got a sling for it.

I was tired of the hassle and bulk of regular launchers so I came up with my own design of mini under barrel grenade launcher that operates off the markers air supply. Since I like things functional and able to adapt to differnt playing conditions, it has been made with the ability to be removed and put back on with nothing more than a flathead screw driver or coin in under a minute. Breach loaded with removable barrel for easy loading and lots more.

Cool.
I've also heard that many players that look for the tac-cap end up usin' paintball pods instead. I have yet to see one where they saw off the pod and slap it on the cyclone feeder. Hey if "the shoe fits" right...? lol

Yeah, I've got a couple 50rd pods that aren't good for anything but holding rockets and using as a tac-cap.

When I can afford it, my next cyclone upgrade (and marker mounts for support) is one of those 1100 round pod reloaders as a hopper  .
