PMI premium fits the stock barrel very nicely. It breaks on target pretty well, but doesn't break in the barrel. Will you please type normally and refrain from using "u" as an abbreviation?

I would like to hear some more suggestions other than pmi premiums..... what other paint works well in the stock barrel? how about great americans? I know they are cheap but they worked VERY well in my terminator......

not exactly hick.
I just used polar ice balls and the RPS galyans paint and both of them rolled out of the barrel quit a bit.

Rps/PMI premium and Big Ball for the stock barrel. They are big enough for a tight fit, and tough enough to handle the high operating pressure.

I have recently gotten ahold of some Diable Midnight paint and I am very pleased with my results. Unfortunately, you may have to pay a little more if you want to get the Midnights :(

Wal-Mart's Diablo Dusk fits excellently, and flies VERY straight. Only problem is the fill is watery, so make sure you're playing with honest people. Nice an cheap too!

so far these are the paints i have used in the stock barrel, and how they performed with my gun set at around 310fps, 75 degrees outside, not much wind.
TC Viper Venom series- Good stuff. Broke 1 in barrel out of 600. Cheap at my local shop. .Breaks on impact 65-75%
Diablo Blaze- Mid priced. Broke 10 out of 500 in barrel. Shot straight till they broke in my barrel. Only 8 out of 14 hits broke on impact. NOT RECOMMENDED
Great American Paintballs- These suckers are wayyyy underpriced. Best Paint i have used, in any barrel, ever. Never lets me down. Broke 0 in barrel out of 500. Shot very straight. Broke on impact.
32* Competition- worked ok. no breaks in barrel, but slight curvage and some misshaped balls. Rarely broke on impact though. Shot around 100.
Best and cheapest ball ive ever used remains Great american paintballs'. If ya havent tried them i highly suggest you do, for any barrel/gun. 35 bucks at actionvillage.com.

i have been using some left over RPS balls. only bought 500 and they are accurate up to about 50 feet. no the best barrel fit for the stock, and there is curvature down-ward which is very annoying.

JT maxims shoot very very well out of the stock barrel. Except I have found on a few incidents that they dont break all the time. But otherwise, perfect fit.

Has anyone tried zap pro european or zap performance plus? Because sometimes my field has field paint only events:( . Oh yeah almost forgot, i am using the stock barrel.

I don't like Zap paint. It tends to be big and not very round. It shot ok in my stock barrel, but I like RPS stuff much better. I don't like FPO events when they have crappy paint. I'd much rather pay a premium price for good paint, so I refuse to participate in events that have awful paint.

C-mac has a point about zap paint in general.... i dont think its good in ANY barrel. Tends to always leave greasy residue in my hopper and barrel, and the phantom stock definately doesnt live up to its name when the barrel has crap in it, from what ive experienced at least.

Well, NO barrel is going to shoot well with crap in it. You could also have goo on your bolt, that also REALLY screws with your accuracy.

ok i did a few tests with pmi premiums and some sort of sheridans..
red and black premiums are smaller than he blue and black ones according to these bags i got... neither of them are a good fit, BUT the blue and black ones shoot amazingly from long ranges (hit pizza box at 52 yards with small effort with this paint) but the red and black ones experience slight curvature at around 40 yds. this is with 300-310 velocity might i add. not much wind.
sheridans- wouldnt recommend unless you need to go to walmart and pick up some 'backup paint'.... actually no, just dont waste your money.......just go home an dream about paintballing with good paint instead. :D
this is with the stock barrel, 11 inch.

there is a neat article floating around that measured the diameter of the leading paintballs, and help you make a ID (inner diameter) match to your chosen barrel, I will see if I can locate it, all tests done with a Phantom to boot. But from what I remember it was RPS gold that got the highest marks, but I will find the article and let you all decide for yourselves.

Just like Ebonclaw, I got a phantom vsc on monday, picked up some diablo dusk, and the paint was great. The only bad part was the fill was a little runny. Oh yeah, I was shooting a stock 11 inch barrel.
