I got my expansion chamber for my 98 a while back.. and now I'm thinking about getting an air-thru commando stock because I really like my remote.. but the remote line connects right into the 98 airline.. so will it bypass my expansion chamber.. therefor being a waste of money? Sorry I couldn't get a lot of details on the stock.. but its the standard spec-ops airthru commando stock.. Any help is appreciated.

coils work like x chambers you could just take it off

More importantly, with a remote you're running the bottle vertically (hopefully). This infinitely reduces the amount of liquid that gets into the line and the gun by proxy. And then on top of that, the internal volume of the remote can also act like an X-chamber, as nicksniper said. You're not going to see a massive X-chamber effect, but it's going to stop a large percentage of any liquid getting into the gun under normal circumstances.

Most of us here aren't fond of expansion chambers anyway. My vote says to toss it.

Yeah I'd have to agree, more and more Tippmann users are usin' regulators, just somethin' to consider

Its been shown that expansion chambers do very little if anything at all in terms of preventing liquid C02 from entering your marker, allowing you to fire at higher rates of fire without running liquid through your marker, or firing in cold climate without shooting liquid C02 though your marker.

They really just useless and add weight unless you like to use it as a fore grip.

Then again you can also use the PPS Male Stabilizer as a fore grip as well and THAT DOES do a LOT to prevent liquid C02 from EVER getting into your marker in EVERY situation.

in EVERY situation.
This is a point that doesn't get made very often. Back when I first got mine, I was put into a situation where I was firing almost straight down. The reg was literally sucking in liquid CO2, but I wasn't getting any CO2 cloud, and it never froze over. It does some pretty cool stuff.
