I have had my tippy with the e-grip for a while and it worked decently. However, I got a jcs blade trigger and it is killing me. The gun clicks and uncocks when fired without any air. However, it just clicks and doesn't fire when I pressurize the gun. Sometimes it fires, but mostly not. I have had it looked at and had the metallic firing button type device in the grip adjusted, but nothing seems to work.

How old is the battery? Sounds like you're not getting enough juice to the solenoid. In theory, this shouldn't have anything to do with the trigger, but I've seen weirder stuff.
How well is your trigger adjusted? It took me a couple months before I finally settled on a setting for mine.

My battery is good. The problems seem to only come up as I pressurize my gun.

Hmm. Check your armature pin. Look closely at the ends and see they are mushroomed. This minute reduction in length makes a huge difference.

it looks fine; I never really messed with its length. You know the metallic switch that gets pushed down when the trigger is pulled.

No, I mean the armature pin. You were looking at the microswitch. The armature pin is the long metal dowel that goes between the solenoid and the sear. If the ends of that rod are mushroomed, all kinds of weird stuff starts happening. With the solenoid only partially engaging the sear, there's the potential for misfires, double fires, every-other-fires, and any other combination you can think of.

I meant the micro-switch. I just forgot what you called. The armature pin looks fine, but I'll check. Before I got my grip to properly work temporarily my micro-switch had to be slightly reshaped or fooled with so that my trigger can properly trip it. If it is the micro-switch, are there any solutions. I'll check the armature pin though.

The clicking you're hearing: is it loud, like the solenoid or quiet like the microswitch? If it's the solenoid, there's another problem in play here.
As a point of curiosity, I'd be tempted to put the stock trigger back on to see if that fixes the problem. It shouldn't, because if the Armature pin is okay, your problem shouldn't have anything to do with the trigger.
A thought just occurred to me. Did you take apart your A-5 and clean it when you installed your new trigger? Because the action you're getting sounds a lot like you put the ball detent in backwards. That's easy enough to check. The ramp should be pointing down toward the gun and up toward the barrel.

I had the pro shop install my trigger, but I'll check to see if my old grip works fine and hit you back up.
