unless your friend got pds for it, no it doesnt have eyes and yes youlll have a pretty good chance it will chop, so if you want send it to icd or vaporworks and they will install the pds system for you but i am not sure if they are still doing that...... but you could just buy a promaster ive seen them as low as 140 now instead of buying a gun that has an older design

B2K4's come in PDS and non-PDS versions.
How do you know if a non-PDS gun will chop? Well, if your hopper can't keep up, then it will chop.
Odds are you will have some chopping problems with a non-PDS B2K4 regardless of what hopper you use, just because even the fastest hoppers can't feed with perfect consistency.
Unless you're a machinist, you should have the eyes installed professionally. You can have it done at www.paintballtrader.com for $95.

Depending on the price of the b2k4 i say pay maybe the extra and get the promaster and have PDS stock. Reason i say this again is that if the b2k4 doesn't have eyes then it'll be about another $95 to that installed in it, something to consider.

^true.
At this point I would say its a better choice to buy a promaster since they're so cheap.
The only reasons I could see for buying a B2K at this point are:
-you're a B2K enthusiast and don't like the Promaster platform as much (as is the case with some ppl)
-the B2K is upgraded a decent amount, has PDS, and is very cheap
-the B2K is trayless
-the B2K is a rare version (Murder Inc, Frostbite, Venom, etc) and you want it for its rarity or collector value
-you want parts to build your own custom B2K
I'd actually take a trayless B2K with PDS over a Promaster, but those are hard to come by and often more expensive.

If your going to get the b2k4 try and get it without PDS, the eyes are more of a hassle then they are worth, once the ball chops your basically screwed, and then the paint oozes down into your tray with your electronics.
Instead of a PDS try getting a GBR mechanical anti-chop. Its a bit more expensive, and probably pay the same you paid for the gun but boy do you get looks at the field and it doesn't chop at all.

If your eyes are working properly, you're using a good loader, and the paint is good you'll very much hardly chop. And if you do it's no big deal to take the eye covers of and clean the eyes.
Edit: After seeing the vid 63 posted i see that the GBR wasn't what i was thinking you were talking about. I thought you talking about something like the ACS bolt. You can have gun setup to the point where the bolt will just bounce off the paint, the lvl 10 mag bolt and the SP1 work similar.

no eyes needed.
