The X7 e-grip is great. Total milsim look and able to change rates/modes of tire on the move. The A5 e-grip...Does someone out there have any mods done to switch rates/modes of fire quickly insted of using an allen key. Right now i have the end of a shoe lace tied on my trigger frame so i can change modes. This still takes some time to do.

Find some small mail-order asian, stick him in your pocket, whip him out when you need 'em, they're pretty fast. They even come with a lifetime warranty.

LMAO!!!

The Pocket Asian is sold by the Carlos Mencia corporation. It's designed to do your math and science tests for you, but I'm sure you can adapt it.

But seriously, yeah, you can do a modification like that. The down side is that it's rather complicated, and I'm pretty sure you have to burn your own board.

EDIT: Check this out:

Then, of course, there's always this:

Ironically, SilentDeath (the first guy to mod an X-7 E-grip to an A-5) is of Asian decent.

wow!! either way there is alot of screwing around to do it. Id fool around with it if i had another e grip. ill just wait until some company makes one for it OR I get tired of waiting and settle with the pocket asian.

APE did a poll and some very serious market analysis on whether they should build one, and apparently they've decided against it. I seem to remember something about wanting to be able to comply with SPPL regulations and having a mode selector right on the grip was considered cheating. In any case, if APE wouldn't do it, I doubt very much that anyone else would.

If they are complying with SPPL regulations with the a5, why did the neglect this with the making of the X7 e grip? Right now Id buy an X7 just for the e grip.

First of all, the X-7 E-grip is manufactured by Tippmann, not APE. Secondly, the X-7 E-grip requires massive modification to fit on an A-5.
