*****IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT PHANTOMS*****

They are great!

What is there to know? It's got some perty anodizing on there, perfect for a stock game, the best pump you can buy (with the exception of a Carter). ??? Phantoms are great 'guns, I've owned one and a Carter..most of the time I played with the Phantom, because I was afraid to mess a $900 pump up! :) Go get it now!

Say i wanted to play with a hopper is there any way i could take off the stock loader thing?

I've heard that with a 12 gram i can get 40 shots. So if i put the hopper on i could play a game with 200 round loader and if i carried the extra 12 gram or 2 could i still play with little Xtra effort?

Buy one with a right, left, or centerfeed body. I recommend you use something like a 4-oz Co2 tank on it, if you can.

Hrm...not sure. Try looking at Wally World and the other big stores, it might be there. I'm sure you can find it over the internet somewhere.

Oh yeah, for me, since I use only motorized hoppers, I would get a centerfeed to balance. Of course, you don't really NEED a revvy or equivelant on a Phantom, so I suggest getting a regular VL-200 and getting a right or left feed body to go with it.

I have basicaly the same setup w/o the stock and a different anno. I use a 4 oz tank i bought from paintballgear.com and a hot shot sight. From my experience changing 12 g's are kinda a pain. I play with the 15 round tube because i dont want the extra target that is easy the hit like a hopper. When playin with it i usualy shoot at the very most 50 balls, so i dont need the hopper.

How long does it take to reload the 15 round loader?

10 sec max
depends how good you get at doing it.

How do you reload the tubes on the top? do you just push then in?

Do the phantoms come accepting the Co2 bottle threads like for a 4 ounce, or do they come accepting the 12 gram powerlet?

they all come accepting CA. The 12 gram changer can be screwed out of the asa allowing for tanks.

Ok. So if one had the VCS phantom, they could have the tank/ powerlets, as a foregrip, and then maybe get a stock for the shoulder if they wanted?

as long as its Vertical Air

I was hoping the VCS ment Vertical Air. I was on the website and it was the last pic on the basic guns. It looked like the powerlet holder-thingy was coming down vert.

It takes me less time to refill my 15 - round phantom than refilling my revy cocker.

/me huggles speedcaps (Just like 100 round tubes but tiny) You just pop the lid shove it in like jt speed pods put'm back in pocket and go

Where as cocker turn revy off, pull strap down, pull out pod, lift lid, pour paint in close tube, put tube back, close strap, close lid turn revy on.

Oh ya my phantom gets 50-55 good shots per 12 gram so I just put a new 12 gram in every game and carry 2 spares.

Oh ya thats exactly what I own but woodland camo, you'll love it.

Dead accurate, I was practicing snap shooting with it... =) I hit a 1" tree from 50 feet without stock or scope constantly

That sounds like fun, using pump. Still can't decide on which one for me: I think the maverick was recomended and then a few have said the PGP, so i am torn.

Well....so was I....I finally decided on a Phantom though, primarily because of the removable barrel (makes cleaning a LOT easier), and because so many accessories are made for them. I've been VERY happy with mine. Also, a PGP is difficult to shoulder, whereas the Phantom...well, without a stock, I put the back of the 15 round tube up against my cheek....it has almost no recoil. Phantoms also Autotrigger, and they have some very nice looks too. I played with an original PGP, and it was a great gun, but not being able to remove the barrel REALLY sucked.

I don't think i'll spend that much an a pump and find out i can't cut it. I am hoping for something cheaper and if i do like it, i'll get the phantom. If i don't like, i could sell or keep to give to my cousin when we play. No one plays stock were i live, so i can't borrow someones gun to try it out.

When you say Stock game, what do you mean by stock? Like only stock guns are allowed?

Sorry, I ment pumps like phantoms and the like. I remeber one guy who plays pump, but he doesn't do it were i go ever.

Is Pump a lot harder than playing with a Semi? I'm going to buy a new marker soon in the $300 price range & I want to be different. Also, my teammates have Mags which will be playing front. Is the Phantom okay for back/mid player?

Blazestorm

Well depends. Phantoms are great for Stock Class tourneys and recplay, not good for true tournaments. Best bet is a semi-auto, I would suggest mag because with the retro valve you could be unstoppable
