my ape rampage is shooting randomly because the trigger moves FORWARD when the safety is on, causing the switch to be tripped
the guys at RI say to bend the thing to the "sweet spot".
i am sure somebody (most likely corrupted) has an idea of this "sweet spot", and is capable of posting a pic so i have a general idea of what angle this is.
Too far=constant fire, too little=no fire....HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP
seriously, this makes me want to go all nazi on tippmann X§X

Woah, I've been sigged? Cool!
The sweet spot is just referring to the right angle you have to bend the microswitch lever in order to make the gun fire the way you want.
Anyway, I kinda need to know what trigger you've got. If you've got an adjustable trigger like the JCS Dual for the A-5, you don't need to bend it at all. The trigger is modular enough to find the right place without bending the microswitch.
The reason you bend the microswitch is so that you can adjust where in the trigger pull you want the gun to fire. In most cases, you'd do this because the stock trigger has the adjustability of rebar.
The JCS manual says that when the trigger is adjusted correctly, the trigger is supposed to move forward when you put the safety on. IIRC, you've got an A-5, so the board activates when the switch is released. This means you've kinda gotta think backwards. When the gun is at rest, the microswitch is depressed, and the switch is actually released when you pull the trigger.
With that info, it doesn't make sense that the board would fire when the trigger was pushed forward. Give me a list of all the stuff you've got tacked onto the gun near that board (what trigger, what kind of springs, any home mods...) and I can help more.

Ouch. Well, as long as your board isn't taking a dump, a decent trigger like JCS's will fix your problem. With the APE board, I actually get kicked out of night games because the refs think I'm ramping, even though I'm in semi. I firmly believe your trigger is your problem. I bought one of those thinking I could use it for a project, and it was not even close to the specs of the stock trigger. Just horrible.
