My budget is: 200-300 dollars
I already have: Nothing, sad day indeed.
I play mainly: Both.
The features I want in my gun are: Upgradeable, doesn't chop a lot.
I am open to the possiblity of a used marker: No...bad experiences with used anything.
The 200-300 dollar budget is for gun, air tank, hopper. I wasa debating between the Synergy Combo/Equilizer, MG-7, Ion, or Spyder VS2. Can't decide which would be the most bang for my buck, or which is the most reliable. If I could get any insight on any of this that would be great.
Thanks

A Vibe or SP1 would do pretty well and will leave you enough money to get a good loader, nice thermal mask, and everything else you'll need. Do you have another account here?

I would second the Vibe. It doesn't have very many upgrades available yet but I think they are starting to come out.
With an Ion I think you will have to run HPA so that kind of blows your budget away.
If you are playing speedball I would suggest the Vibe over the SP1 because it's a little lighter and it has a double trigger.
$150 for the Vibe
$30-$100 for an agitating or force feed hopper
$15-30 for CO2 tank
I think that puts you withing budget.

You can use CO2 on an Ion but on the Vibe/SP1 they are made to use CO2. Performance wise as well they are as good if not better IMO then a stock Ion. Not having eyes doesn't mean much since the low force bolt works pretty well and if you do chop you don't have any eyes to clean off. You can get a 2x trigger for the SP1 and the SP1 is small enough to do ok in a rec speedball game.

I looked up the Vibe and it says that I would need an anti-siphoned tank, or a vertical for CO2. So I might be looking at a different gun, or something idk.
And, No, I don't have another account.

It doesn't need an A/S but it does help. The reg has a relief valve built into so if liquid CO2 gets into the gun and expands into gas the extra pressure has a place to vent out. By vertical i assume you mean a remote line? There's no place to mount a tank vertically on the Vibe.
