I work so a company that has nothing to do with paintball but have a few people there that love to play. We were having lunch recently and we starting to talk about paintball.
The owner of the company says to me “You know you guys are more than welcome to use the field out back to play.”
So I ask “How much land is back there? Is there enough?” I asked because I haven’t been back there, ever.
He says “Well there is just about 19 acres…..all paid for…..we’ve owned it for the last 80 years or so. We own it just never had a real use for it.”
Immediately go back there and check it out. Sure enough there is a ton of land that hasn’t been used other than some local kids back there with the ATVs. There are no what conversation classifies as “wet lands” that cannot be messed with. There is a paved parking lot leading to the company and the field is located in the back with tons of space for parking.
The space is located in Taunton, Massachusetts. The zip code is 02780 on the North Dighton-Taunton line.
I took some photos of the field that can be seen here: http://www.immortalspaintball.com/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=43
I’d need to arrange the open space with recball-type bunkers. Most of the land is open space, sadly hardly any is wooded. Luckily, we have tons of pallets, drums, huge drum-tanks, etc… that can be placed out there before we play.
I am trying to judge if there is any interest in playing at a place like this? Arrange some sort of get together (NO CHARGE TO PLAY) but I need to see how many player are in the area that would be interested to come on down and try it out.
I have approval to get a few scuba tanks so we would have some compressed air for fills but right now have no way of getting CO2 fills.
So, any interest from anyone that may be local in the area?
