I wouldnt buy the set because u probobly wont use some of the barrels. Just buy a couple inserts. I have an epiphany so i know. Look at the post a few down on this forum. It tells which inserts the guy used the most.

Even though you might not use some of them very often it's still good to have if you need them. And for $50 that's not a bad deal i think although they're probably aluminum inserts instead of the better stainless steel inserts.

yes they are the alum. I would love to find a stainless steel set, but hard to come by used. Do you feel they help for accurcy?

Do you feel they help for accurcy? The SS inserts? They be since they won't expand or shrink in different weather and they're higher quality.

if u want consistency (accuracy) then u want a good paint/bore match. just figure out what size paints u use the most and pick and choose what steel inserts to get. that way ur not buying an entire set and never use some of the bore sizes

I've used every single insert in my Freak kit. For instance, Severe Cyclones back in the day- Pink shell with blue swirl pink fill took .679 however, blue shell with pink swirl blue fill took .695. I've seen slight variations box to box as well. Remember boys and girls, weather effects the paint also. There's been times on warm humid days when I've started out with the .689 insert and had to go up to .691. If you are buying new or used, it's less expensive to purchase a whole kit also.

Yeah i agree if you have the money you can't go wrong w/ buying the whole kit if you want a perfect paint to bore match. However though a small, medium, and large insert/bore will do fine as well if money is an issue.
