Hello, it has been a long time since i post anything here...because work scool and girl take a lot of my time, but here i'm againg..
i would like to hear all your opinions...i'm working on something that will make a standar tippmann 98c into a (SKS look) BTW this is a picture of a standar SKS
Picture 1

and this is a picture of my a SKS after i modify the hell out of it. :badboy:

now, the real deal, do you think this is a good idea to do with a paintball marker? i mean, it's going to be for woodball and for "show-room display" i have seen tippmann that look like AK, M16, Mp5...and many others but never a SKS...it's going to be very hard to mod it but i know i can get it to look like "picture 2"
alright, just let me know what you thing about turning a 98c into a SKS look.
BTW if you feel that the sks is not worth it take a look at my collection http://community.webshots.com/user/sarduy_inc and let me know what you recomment, No AK or M16/M4 please..(those two have been done tooooooo many times)

I think it would be great. You could modify a RAP4 .68 cal magazine and housing to actually have it magazine fed.

that would be sick, are you going for the absolute copy looks or like the lookalike markers with all the M16 stuff bolted on to cover up the model 98 inside?
You could buy a airsoft gun and then chop up the body to fit it over the 98

Mmmm SKS, my dad had one. but not one that sweet. I think a Steyr Aug mod would look even cooler, but thats only cause I love that gun.

Have a SKS love it would look cool, but how would you do the bayonet.
Also another gun I haven't seen done yet is a Russan RPK light machine gun

lmfao... no, i'm not the same person, and the first thing i did now was check was he's post date, and it's 05-01-2008, 07:57 PM, so he was ahead of me 2 weeks, ohh well that's sucks... someone got the idea faster than me, but that's cool, i think i'm going for the Steyr Aug or RPK maybe a G3 ;)

I'd go Steyr of G3. G3 would probably be easier to make though

I like the idea of an sks tippmann i would start with a wooden stock (like the one my sks has) it would be kinda cool if you put a bayonet on it that had a marker tip on it (You could charge when you run out of paint and just mark all over the opposition with your marker tipped bayonet!!!!)

I think an a-5 would be your best bet.

Try an MP4, some bolt-action would be sweet(might be able to become a TRUE sniper!), a minigun, RPG launcher(but instead of a tube, the nerf-rocket mounts like a real RPG). Just throwing ideas out there.

Threads a bit over a year old.
AirHog has some nice custom guns you might want too look at.
well this sound all cool and i know firearms and let me just say good luck with the 98 and are you going to do the before or after picture and look in to once u gett the gun looks right in to the q loader cause whats the point of having the gun look like an sks if you can't go out and fight like its an sks (just don't whip out the banoet and go crazy) and your doing this with a 98 right well how are you going to cock the gun? also if you want to be realistic find out when your next local gun show is and find a sks clip and modfiy it to crack open like the x7's i hope you get this to work cause i have a good share of sks's and if it works put it in the picture reel
i think i might try the tec 9 cause i have one for reference

Sarduy, I just bought a synthetic SKS folding stock from ATI and carved it so that I could fit it to my Spyder Fenix. I know that you have a T98 so you may run into some of the same problems I did with my spyder. I have a pressure gauge on my marker so I had to carve a decent hole in to the side of the stock to accomidate the gauge. I know the T98 has a side feed so you might have to carve a space for the feed as you retro-fit. Be carefull not to compremise the integrity of the stock (I came close). Hope this helps. I'm happy with the "bad @$$" look I got from my mod.

This thread is about 9months old minus 1 day from the last post and over a year from that post.
Got pictures of your mod?

I guess I didn't look at the post dates (my bad) I was looking to see if anyone has done a simular mod or if I finally got lucky and came up with something no one else has. Anyway, I'm going to post some pics on the Kingman area of the forum.
