I've been playing paintball for almost a year now. I currently own an old as hell electronic 32 degrees with a 14in barrel. I play wherever, forest and speed ball, and I don't really understand much paintball slang so feel free to elaborate if you reply something that a new paintballer might not easily understand. Anyway, I play a lot and pretty much played the 32 degree sinto the ground and I'm looking for a new/used paintball gun to purchase.

I'm looking to spend no more than $200, but $300 and $400 guns can be found for $200. My biggest concern is anti-chop and a gun that is easy to take apart, upgrade, and maintain. Accuracy is a must, I understand a long barrel will make a gun accurate, but I'm sure some guns are still more accurate than others. BPS is also important. MUST LOOK MEAN!!

Basically I'm looking for the most bang for my buck. This is all assuming that I have an electronic hopper and nitro tank. I've been looking at the smart parts eos recently, which is suppose to be insanely easy to take apart and an all around good guns, but I'm not very familiar with all the guns available. I need help!! I look forward to yalls feedback.

For $200, look for Proto SLGs, used PMRs and used DP Fusions. All of these should be at or around $200, and the PMR and Fusion started out as $400+ guns.

i would suggest the ion or ion xe from smart parts. the ion is around 160 and the ion xe iis about 230. the only real difference is that the xe has the bolt out back design so it makes it a lot easier to clean. the anti-chop system works really well. ive played a couple time with this gun and have yet to shoot a chopped ball

ok, longer barrels don't make the gun more accurate, an no gun is more accurate than any other gun.

there's only four things that determine accuracy. paint quality, barrel quality, paint to bore match, and velocity consistency.

with that being said, buy good paintballs that are consistent in size and have no seam on them, get a high quality barrel, make sure the paint you're using fits into your barrel, and keep your reg lubed so it stays consistent. this should give you good results.

i'd suggest buying a used high-end marker, that will get you the best bang for the buck. in the $200 range you can find a DM4, PM5, Intimidator, Nerve, and maybe an SFT Shocker if you look hard enough.

SFT Shockers are definitely a steal right now. Lots of them with ups going for around $200 on eBay. Other than what everyone else has said I will say ICD Promaster. MSRP was over 400 in 07' I believe. Now you can pick them up on eBay for around 150. Maybe even less. What the other guys/gals have said are also options.

New you can't really go wrong w/ the SLG, best new gun in the $200 range hands down. Like Milky said you can probably find nice used high-ends as well in the $200-$250 range. I've seen UL PMR's going used for around $250 as well, might even be able to find a new '07 DP fusion for around $200 if you look hard enough. Basically though stay away from like the Ion XE and EOS, for the price you're just throwing your money down the drain.

I would go for the SLG. I just recently purchased one, it is very fast and the stock barrel surprised me. I don't think I will even buy a new barrel for it. It is very easy to service with only the back cap to undo and then 3 orings on the bolt and one on the plunger piece. The design of the marker eliminates the need to adjust dwell or any other settings to make it fire correctly so it's basically idiot-proof. It is very small and shoots smooth, almost no kick. The stock board has multiple tournament modes and goes up to 30bps. All this and it's brand new, no need to buy used.
