I have a flatline...
now I DO NOT want a debate on its quality, i want tips from the guys who get it to work really well. Things like ways to squeegie without uncrewing the barrel and tweaking accuracy and stuff like that.
:)  :blah: ;)

I heard you have to aim down some with it on close range fields.

To squgee without taking the barrel off just get you a pull though style squgee. I highly recomend an "APP Python" But any econo rubbery one will work good. I got mine for $2.95 at my local field and my friends liked it so well they all went out and got one before our next game. The only thing is it won't clean the very end where the porting is and the barrel gets real big inside to clean that get one of those feather duster looking ones and just stick it in that area. It doesn't realy hurt accuracy to much though to not squgee that last end part though. Also make sure the squegee is long enough before you buy it

My flatline is chopping paint really badly. i cant figure out what is going on. I have turned my velocity all the way down and still they break before they leave the barrel. It has been pretty cold out but it also broke some in warm weather too so i dont really think that is the problem. I know it is something to do with the flatline because i put my stock barrel back on and it worked pretty good. :pissed:

Vipers, what kind of paint are you using? I have heard that the flatline is picky about paint. That could be your problem.

lately i have been using zap performance plus. i agree, this might be the problem, they were sitting around my house for a while in a half empty jug so.... But they were chopping when they were new also

zap sucks, thats why your flatline is sucking. use proball or marballizer

viper that paint should not be giving you that many problems i sometimes use it with good results. There are several reasons that you could be breaking paint here is a trouble shooting guide.

1..check your flatline adapter and make sure it is EXACTLY parallel with the seem between the two halfs of your gun. Also make sure the bolt in the flatline adapter is tight enough.

2...Make sure the flatline is in all the way in.To do this unscrew the bolt on your flatline adapter then proceed to tap the end off the flatline with a rubber mallet. Then screw your bolt back in.

3... If these fail try a new type of paint marbs will work well.(not flash or allstar shell is too brittle.) also check to see if your paintbore size is not too big or small.

4.... make sure all of the screws in your gun are in tight enough.

To squigee without unscrewing the barrel push down on your front siteflip it down then push a pull threw squigee through the barrel until the end comes out the other end then pull the squigee.(duh)

Accuracy most of your accuracy will have to do with your paint to bore size match. However too high of accuracy will caused decreased accuracy and ball breaking. Also there are some tips with aiming the flatline always hold the flatline very steady this is really important also do not fire when the flatline is at a angle. Finally at close to medium range aim for fore your opponets testicles the ball should fly up a little and hit them in the stomach. If it does not oops.
