The freak allows a player to be more flexable, but the boomer is slighly accurate, not enough to match the freaks total goodness. Hmm goodness, funny word

the accuracy of the freak is just the same as if you were using the AA, or teardrop! the fact that you can change your bore size to find the perfect paint/bore size match give you the upper hand

yo old boy is right in about 6 reviews i've read the lapco big shot shot just as far and accurate as the dye boomstick if not better. it is under half the price and just as good. so on reading those i decide to get one. i used to have a procarbine with a dye boom stick. not the easiest gun to put it on but hey it worked like a charm. i got the lapco and was very impressed. i had knocked off 4" of my barrel lenght and was shoting just as good. i also have a jj ceramic, and i would love to through i a good word for it. it is a beutiful barrel.

oh and so you don't think i'm just some newbie spouting off at the mouth like many do. i've been playing for 6 years. my first gun was a bob long millenium. not i use a tippmann pro carbine. many people say i down graded but i say my kill count has been going up alot faster with it, and i've went up agianst 4x4, autocockers, automags, and angels. and if you ever in the altoona, pa area email me and i'll let you know when we are playing. we play every weekend.

I would have to go with CP barrels..

I only got the 1 piece 14" because it matches the anodizing on my Blue Bruizer Outlaw.

But man.. The finish on it is impeccable. When you look down the barrel at a light you can't even tell its blue. It looks like a mirror the whole way down.

I could even see lint in the barrel after I wiped it down. I thought initially it might be an imperfection in the finish, but I blew some air down it and it went away.

It is also deadly accurate, fairly quiet, light and is awesome looking even though the chrome barrel shroud on my Outlaw covers the CP logo.

The only thing I did notice is that the barrel sometimes works its way a little loose, but that is common with many markers / barrels and is not exclusive to this barrel / marker combo...

Someone should find a way to lock a barrel in tight though... That would make things better for many people...

i dun like the CP barrel much...i used one before, and it curved like none other...
I do think that the Dye Ultralight/Boomstick are very very nice, and the Smart parts Freak gives you unlimited flexibility...th JJ Two Piece is nice also. A little loud, but has the accuracy of a SP AA.

What is the point in a two piece barrel?

filasophikal

the point of a 2 piece... first 4" which is the control bore... .687, .690, .693... the last so many inches - the tip is where the air around the ball - flows all around it. it shoots out more consistent and more accurate. but it also depends on type of metal, and quality of the barrel...

dye titanium - are waste of money... there less accurate than regular boomy plus there like 30-40 bucks more. i say the new cp barrels are pretty accurate, or the 2-piece version... i call it a ghetto boomstick.... cheap version of a boomstick... with almost the same quality of workmanship. you also miss jt barrels... they're nice too. dye boomstick is the best - imo... you get what you pay for. also you miss cobra barrels...

My friend has a boomstick and he says accuracy is the best but the range is somewhat lacking.

the reason CP barrels curve so bad is that you have to clean out the tiny porting extremly well. i found that if you have a break during a game in 2 words, you're screw. Im lucky though cuz at my field they have a sink so i just run some wat through the porting. i personally like the freak because of the versatility.

Whats better, 8 barrels for all sizes of paint for about 800 bux, or a set, that has 8 bore sizes to choose from, front and back ends, for only 200 bux???
