man that sucks. The edge elite kit is an awesome kit. I love mine. First, you need to find out what thread they are. Second you need to post that kit for sale. Third buy a kit with the right threads.
Using an adapter defeats the whole purpose of a barrel kit.

ok if you eed ion threads you can replace the bplack piece on a ap with oen with the right theads for you no issue but you can buy a edge elete kit for 85$ so sell current one get a5 one done deal.

But the kit is sweet, use it on my autocockers and I would put it against other kits easily, especialy after taking out a guy when all he gave me was his barrel to hit that he had spend 20 min bragging how good it was over my elite kit.

1) If you bought your marker with the flatline, chances are it didn't come with the standard A5 barrel adapter (http://www.tippmannparts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=297&categoryID=0). If you don't have a part that looks like that, then your first order of business is to pick it up.

2) If you are sure you have that piece and you are sure that your barrel has ion threads, you need an ION threaded adapter, it can be found easily enough as well here. (http://www.lapcopaintball.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=4_23&products_id=186)

I sharply disagree with the poster above me that says that a barrel adapter will defeat the purpose of the kit, because if you are shooting a barrel kit on an A5, then you are already shooting through a barrel adapter. If you get either of the barrel adapters above, then you'll be in good shape.

3) If you want a cheap barrel kit with 100% A5 threads I just so happen to have one for sale (http://forum.specialopspaintball.com/index.php?showtopic=154508). For $60 with 4 backs (note that the $80 kits you can pick up online new have 3 backs).

I believe he was referring to a thread-to-thread adapter. Something like this:

I wasn't aware that anything like that was available for the A5, now if we were talking about any other marker, than it would be different.

Even still, thread adapters don't effect accuracy and would only be significantly detrimental if you had a marker without detents, they are just a waste of space and decrease a marker's efficency slightly. They act like an extended breech, as long as the paintball gets into the barrel without breaking its all good. Once its in there, the barrel corrects any deviations in the paintball's flight.
