hey guys. i just put my Responce Trigger on my 98 and its not working. it will fire single shots 98% of the time and double fire 2% of the time. i always thought it was you pull the trigger and it fires one and when you let the trigger go it fires another. i have my pressure on my 98 like 3/4 of the way up and the RT screw on the closest to the tank is all the way up. i see that the pin will bounce back and forth but wont stay strait out like it should. i dont know what to do! this is pissing me off. please help

The RT pushes the trigger forward to reset the sear after each shot and the gun only fires once per trigger pull.

The pin is supposed to bounce, that's what pushes the trigger forward re-setting the sear.

yeah i know that. but the pin isn't reseting its self and blowing foward to reset the Trigger. it just stays back and doesnt touch the trigger

There are two major adjustments for the R/T. The first is your velocity screw, and the second is the flow control valve at the top of the grip on the right side of the marker.

The velocity screw needs to be in quite a ways in order to create enough backpressure to run the R/T. This is fine, because with CO2 or a high pressure HPA tank, you're going to need that screw in a lot in order to reign in the velocity.

The flow control is a little trickier. Start with it turned in all the way (to the right, or tighten). Slowly unscrew it while pulling the trigger intermittently. When you get to about 2-3 full turns, you should be in the sweet spot. At this point you should be able to pull the trigger, maintain light pressure, and have the R/T reset the trigger, thus creating the rapid fire event.

You need to adjust this gradually rather than just go right to it, because each marker is different, causing the sweet spot to be in a different place for each marker.

Also make sure the outlet on the powertube, the fitting slot is perpendicular to the hose outlet (if not, it cuts off the air supply to the RT).

done all of that. so far i see that im missing a pin for the stronger sear spring. do i really need the stronger spring?

Also when firing you have to ease your fingure into the trigger, while keeping tension on your fingure.

In a sence your figure acts like a spring.
The RT pushes your figure out, therefore resetting the sear.
Then the RT's preasure is released allowing the tension of your figure to fire it again.

when i installed the response on my a5, i loaded the hopper, screwed in the adjustment all the way in, so you can't pull the trigger and then about a 1/4 turn out at a time i would adjust the rate. turn the screw, pull off a few shots until you get the desired rate of fire.
