It's about time they came out with that thing for the A-5. The A-5's been need of a good mech trigger forever. I like the idea of roller bearings.

i'm wondering what's special about the guts of the trigger. does it use some kind of a mechanical advantage to lighten and shorten trigger pull? if so i may just get this instead of a response trigger or e trigger. i just don't want too many things in my a-5 that can crap out on me in the middle of a fun day.

It's better because of the quality. At least, that's how it was with the 98 version. If it's along the same lines, the A-5 version of the Fang will have all kinds of adjustments, including trigger stops and spring tension adjustment, that will allow you to make the trigger prettymuch exactly how you want it.

If you want a physically shorter trigger pull, all you've got to do is supplement this trigger with the Tech-T Hair Pin kit.

I've always wanted a flat, blade style trigger for my Tippmann. I even sent out some feelers to Doc's Machine way back when to see about getting one done...no reply, but the thought was there.

Now there finally is one, and it's about 3 years too late and $15 too expensive considering how much I use my 98C anymore. It is about damn time though!!!

Well i just ordered one. i'm only a four hour drive from techt in memphis, tn as well so i should have it in a day or so. i should be able to throw out 10bps with this biatch.

on a side note i've had trouble with recocking here lately and was going to get a new sear and rear bolt from tippmann. i called techt to see if the fang came with a sear (i don't know if it's the entire trigger assembly that lifts out of the grip). and who picked-----todd the friggin owner and chief engineer of the company. not bad.......

Yeah, Tech-T has always taken excellent care of their customers. I've called twice before with technical questions, and both times the receptionist said something along the lines of "hang on, lemme see if Todd or Tim is available"

Todd's the man... we've sat on the phine talking about gear for hours before... he is the genius behind the company... he designs it all... and i knew the a-5 trigger was coming out but i wasn't allowed to tell... sorry guys...

they are great triggers i've played around with them... i am gonna add one to my spare a-5 when i put it in the ICP bull-pup body...

well i got it. first thoughts are very nice package artwork, trigger and parts seem very well built and durable. the machining is excellent. techt does not have the manual up yet though that they advertise on the packaging. i called up tech t just to make sure the trigger pin supplied goes in the hole that mounts the bearing. the should get the install manual finished before they release a product imo.

the adjustments could make more sense. the trigger pre-travel screw screws up and pushes against the power tube to take up pre-travel slack. but with it out just a hair it pushes the trigger enough where the non bolt touching end of the sear won't slide over the rear trigger catch. basically there is so little pretravel that trying to tune it seems silly to me. unless i do some modding to the rear trigger catch. just filing it down a bit would help.

the trigger post travel adjustment consists of two machined holes drilled parallel with the marker, stacked vertically. the top hole is used for response trigger adjustment, the bottom for stock manual trigger. it comes with two correspondng allen screws for these adjustments. i have a manual trigger. the screw supplied for that is longer than the other cuz it has to cover more distance. but the screw for this needs to be longer than what is supplied. in order to remove all post travel (which is how i like it) this screw has to be almost all the way out. to the point where it is almost falling out. some loctite could fix this. techt reccommends using blue loctite. i could also prob buy a longer allen screw here locally. they are the kind have no head, and pass right through.

trigger pull is super smooth. the trigger guard is big enough for me to get two large gloved fingers in there and smack the trigger like you're tapping on your desk. i've played drums since i was kid and tap on anything my hand is on regardless, which results in some crazy fast manual trigger madness. i'll have to borrow my buddies crono but i'm guessing around 10-12 bps.

i have a feeling with a response trigger setup this thing is the bees knees. other than a few head scratches for me, i'm digging it.

edit: i've realized that if the post travel screw were too much longer then it stick out and catch your fingers which would be lousy. i guess techt just had to find a compromise.
