This games going to be massive quality, greg will have a hard time beating this now I think. Then again like 80% of this game was his original creation till he left Activision.

I'm liking it, i'm liking it a lot. Pretty cool how not only they might have the usual DM (this time looks like the DM7/8) they'll have the Vice, SR, Rapper, Mini, and Etek. And then the lesser additions of the Alpha black, and X7. I'd have to compare this and the new GHTP on which has the most gear and what not before i buy but this looks sweet. Might have to consider getting this over Gears of War 2 since i'm not playing paintball anymore.

Well, except for the variety of gear that it looks like its gonna have and the texturing of the bunkers (which look pretty sweet) I'm kind of disappointed. The graphics really aren't what I would expect, or at least not to the point that I would expect for a 360 game. Maybe I'm asking for too much when I say I just want an awesome looking paintball game with great gameplay and lots of different gear.

Yeah the graphics could be better but then again this isn't exactly a big name game like Halo 3 and Gears of War 2.

and 2. its multiplatform they cant go extreme, bc there is a ps2 version. And since that has to be so watered down they dont want it to just be terrible compared to this or the ps3/wii versions.

Nah, I understand. I didn't really play at all for the first two years of college, but now I'm playing all the time.

I think the new GHTP should be better than this. But I definitely have to say it again, I like the bunkers.

I noticed that too, especially on the markers. Some of them look nice, some look overly shiny (comic book like) and others look like someone took a piece of sandpaper to them.

Could be due to some of them being earlier renders, i'd say final version of the game itself should be pretty nice.

I've seen these out for a while now and like I said before it just doesnt look good to me. The graphics and physics look like garbage granted this isnt GOW2 or anything but still it looks bad to me. I'd probably rent it but not buy it especially if it comes out at $60.

Well, I was addicted to the Greg Hastings series which was full of lame equipment and poor shot physics. It looks like the number of players in and hopper capacity systems are the same. From what I can tell in the pictures, what isn't the same looking as GH is an overall improvement. So this is definitely at the top of my list now :tup:

I hated most of the gear they gave in both GHTP's. There was way to much crappy gear and way to gear that in real life is "crappy" but awesome in the game. Add the gear that didn't even exist and you have more crap. I can live with sub par graphics but i'd really like to see some great gear in this game.

This was originally breakout, then greg left activision and they took his project and bob long then put money into the game and got licensing from NPPL for the title and artwork. Thats why gregs game is now pushed back to who knows when, since hes completely revamping the game. Once he found out about this he didnt want to release his bc then ppl could be like zomg.. field editor, breakout manager and everything greg stole from nppl champ pb!!! o.O and he wouldnt want that so hes completely redoing it. I still think hes working with EA, although he wont say who he's with.

Except that the field editor and breakout manager were already in the second GHTP game. If he really is still working with EA, when the game comes out it should be pretty good.

I might rent it first, see if it's any good. I haven't ever played any paintball games besides Paintbrawl, which was absolute crapola, but I also haven't heard much praise for them.

no, you played as one person at a time, with the rest of your team following you or just standing at the start point. It was a scenario type game, with terrible graphics and ai.

Maybe this is the new GHTP? They could have made a deal with the NPPL to change the name.

GHTP and this game are both being published by Activision. It wouldn't make sense to have a company have two competing games in their inventory as that would hurt 'total amount of sales' for each game.

This "was" originally GHTP. This game however is the one Bob long was said to be producing, which all it really was, was bob paying the money forward for a almost finished project to be made, and then got the nppl to put their name into it. From my understanding the game was about 80% complete when greg left activision.

Yeah those are some good graphics, Iim actually pretty impressed with them. Probably won't pick this up new but i'll watch for it at Game Stop and see how much they might come down used.

its funny you say that because youtube has that as a link from the nppl game. I bought that game once and returned to gamestop saying it was broken (SUCKED)
The only thing I didn't like about the ghtp maxd was the turbo penalty. It always happened when I was on the lonely end of a 4 on 1.
