has anyone shot the 8.5in sharktooth barrel i play woodsball and am looking for a tight set up because i play up a lot.. but i am still looking for something that can get someone decently accurately at like 80 feet... or further... i was wondering if anyone has shot this barrel and could comment on it.. i would like to also know how much the rifled core benefits the barrel... thanks for the help

more specifically.. does size of a barrel make THAT much of a difference..... like an 8.5 inch as opposed to a 12in hwo much further is the paint really going to fly.. i honestly play up front i need my paint to go like 100ft semi-accurate.. id rather have a tight set up.. with the sharktooth satisfy my needs or am i wasting my money.. or do you have any suggestions for a tight set up that is pretty accurate

As in the Hammerhead? No, I've never used the Sharktooth specifically, but I have had some experience with it's big brother, the Bangstikxx.

I did a test a while back that pitted the HH against a PPS Brass, and the Brass came remarkably close in the accuracy department. IMO, the PPS Brass is one of the best barrels for the money that you can put on a Tippmann.

Except for a hammerhead set up, they cost just as much as the gun itself does .

Personally, I don't think that the Hammerhead is worth the price. It's a very nice barrel, yes, but it's not that good.

Here, I found my old tests if you feel like having a look. The second one's even got pictures.

for whoever asked how much more range you get from a 8" or 12", the answer is 4". bore size and porting make a difference, not barrel length. go for something in the 10-14" area. any lower and your fps will be too low, any higher and youll be wasting air
