I think you might have better luck getting sponsored if you put together a resume for your team and submit it to businesses who might benefit from the exposure of sponsoring a team. Almost every company that sponsors is doing so to advertise themselves in one form or another. You have to prove to them that your team is more worthy of the company's advertising dollars than the other 50 teams trying to get the same money.
