I don't know if anyone has posted this or not, but has anyone else tried spraying some of this down there barrel? For those of you who don't know Rain-X is a spray that you apply to your car windshield and water just beads and rolls off. Therefore one would think if you broke a ball in your barrel with Rain-X that the paint would be easier to remove because of this.

Its easy to remove anyways. I wouldnt put that stuff dont my barrel. It might make the barrel too slick and the balls would shoot straight.

I wouldnt use non paintball certified chemicals on my stuff...Its like putting windex on your goggles. The amonia in it wears them down so they are weaker. You dont know whats in there. It could really mess it up. If you want to bring some liquid around to wash out your barrel or something, just get a lil bottle of water and spray it down there. Safe enuff...

Or just buy a barrel swab or something.

I've heard from people who've tried this that it works really well for clearing after a break

Yeah well i read the label and if it's safe enough to spray on my jeep's windshield then it's safe enough to spray down one of my extra barrels to test it.

Alright, spraying rain-x down my barrel had no adverse side effect besides the fact that i didn't need a squeegie for my breaks.

Yeah...a bunch of guys around here keep telling me to put rainX in my barrel, but I dunno if I really want to...their barrels seem to clear themselves pretty well after breaks though.

Knowing what Rain X does to a windshield it sounds good for a barrel, but I wonder if it would Adversely Affect different barrel metals, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Nickel, Ceramic.

after seeing the benifits of rain x for myself on sevral other people's barrels, we did all ours and it works freaking great
it is perfectly safe for your barrel, but to do it right you must evenly coat the inside, let it sit ,then buff it extremely well with a very soft cloth and very clean barrel swab, the jt micro fiber lens
cloth's work well, do it just like the instructions say, sprinkle a little
water and buff till your arms sore
it has zero affect on accuracy, but if your paint fits well,it will cut the drag a bit,so you will need to re-chrono,we saw about a 5fps
gain on a aci 2-piece
its a easy cheap way to get some help with a barrel break
it will shoot clean faster and clean up faster in general
i also did the entire inside and out of my aa freak front because
we have been playing in the rain, and it helps to keep rain out of the ports, the rain runs off instead of setteling
pro-team bottles it as a barrel treatment aswell
