I just bought my a5 today from action village and ordered some other cosmetic upgrades from opsgear but i haven't decided fully on wat actual performance upgrades that i wanna purchase for my new beast!
The only real thing im set on is the E-grip but i have a question about that as well! The shroud i bought isn't compatible with the select fire model so is it that big of a difference to just go with the original E-grip?
Sry got side tracked anyways if you guys could answer the E-grip question and point me in the direction of some good upgrades i would be very grateful!

If your going to have an E-Grip, or even an RT, you Need a Tech-T Vortex Ratchet at the minimum for your cyclone to survive.

If it is not compatible, just get a dremel, then it will be compatible with a little help.

A Dremmel will make anything fit, especially something made of plastic like a shroud. I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to own a Tippmann unless you promise to use a Dremmel on it at some point. In fact, don't all new Tippmanns come with a set of Dremmel bits and a roll of Guerrilla Tape these days?

I've only had a dremel since last Christmas. Before that, those almost 8 years I was using hand files, rotary files, hack saws, grinders, jig saws, etc.

A Dremel is a must, I did it the hard way for way too long.

If you get the eGrip, get a JCS double trigger, or something similar. They are fully adjustable and you are able to set your pull exactly how you want it. I recommend a Lapco Bigshot barrel, a good midpriced barrel at $50. They make an 8" model that I loved. Much shorter but still accurate enough for what I was playing. Miss the old A-5. There's a lot more cyclone upgrades than when I had my gun. Soft paddles seem like a good start.
