View Full Version : Which Angel and what mods?

I'm trying to decide between which model Angel to buy. The base LCD is 900 right now, so changing the feed to a low-rise for 25 (if possible-someone please let me know) and adding an intellifeed kit for 50 seems reasonable. The cut & carved (does it come with the intellifeed stock?) at 1000 might be lighter due to the milling and can I switch the rise on this model? The fly is "badars", at 1000 and already has the low-rise feed; it claims to be the lightest (good for front players such as myself). What is the difference in weight between the 3 anyway? Is it worth the 100 bucks? Is intellifeed even worth it? I've read quite a bit and tried to inform myself, so excuse my ignorance and sorry for the newbie questions in the Angel world...

hey...
I say go with the fly.
it is by far the best stock angel.
I agree that low-rise is needed.
and it does come with it stock, as well as a 12" barrel (versus the 14" of any other angel).
they fly is light! I have had a chance to play with one.
they are great.
I say go fly.
it is worth the extra $$$.
(only mods you really need is volumizers... I like the dual volumizers on the adrenalin, and maybe a bolt if you want it. angels are great stock. the delrin bolt would eliminate the hassle of greasing up the bolt though. and get a lady trigger. they are pimp.)

If I want the gated feed neck, I can't have the low-rise feed?

Thanks for the reply, but what about the intellifeed?

I suppose what I'm really getting at is I want the function, not really worried about the aesthetics. If I'm going to have to add the intellifeed to any of the models in question anyways and adding the gated feed neck erases the possibility of the low-rise feed then I might as well save myself the $ and get a stock LCD at 900. The milling is pretty and all, but the weight difference isn't worth that much to me. So assuming all I said is accurate, the new line of reasoning is: can I put those mods on the stock LCD?

gated feed?
I dont think its out yet.
intellifeed... yes.
I say spend the extra hundred, and buy the fly.
the lowrise is your best option, and if you use a ricochet, you dont reall need the gated feed. they were designed to keep balls from comming back into the hopper. (thus that little flap on the inside).
you dont need intellifeed or airassist, or any of that... while although it is nice, it isnt necessary.
the fly would be your best buy man.

but yes, you can the intellifeed on a stock LCD.... and no, the gated feed lowrise/highrise isnt out yet... I dont think.
maybe it is. I havnt checked though

It is, angelparts.com or something like that has them. I own a fly and let me say it is lighter, if you have the extra money get it. I love it, and it does have the lowrise/12" barrel which are both benifits for me because I would have added them anyway. They are a simpler milling, I like it quite a bit as well.

To bad the g-f neck only comes in black or chrome for now, I want one for mine! I'm jealous of warpfeeders that can shoot on steep angles, atleast I'd be able to get a couple shoots of that way! (Course then my hopper is sticking way out)

Volumizers are just a myth???? My whole world is unraveling........! Actually, I guess I'm in the minority that with exception to tunning the trigger likes to leave his angel alone. Volumizers....gosh thats funny to hear that straight from WDP, Kapp is going to be pissed, they always sell pointless (yet attractive and good looking) stuff...cept their df's I like my DZII.
