ok folks,
there have been other silencing mods in the past, but this one requires one thing. (no ur marker and ur brains dont count) anyways, i was rumaging through the drawer when i discovered these(pic at bottom)!! u know, the things u put underneath the legs of chairs so they dont scratch the wooden floor?! well anyways, they are the EXACT diameter and circumference of the bolt.
now here is what u do:
make sure that the adhesive pad (nylon preferably, not plastic sliders) is no more than 1/4inch thick. they come in the package at like 1/2inch thick, so cut mine in half. no if urs comes out looking like a hemishpere, u went wrong. it should still be a circle when u downsize it's width.
ok now, place it on the FRONT of the bolt, where it hits the CVX valve pin. ur gun must be disassembled (duh) and in the cocked position. it the pads don't have adhesive on them, then get some two sided glue, i DONT ADVISE super glue because if it is to thick, when u fire, the gun will sputter and decock because the bolt is hitting the valve to softly. here is a pic. a diagram will be below this.

this diagram is from m98center. but instead of using a square piece of foam which wont cover the whole bolt, i used a circular selfadhesive nylon pad thingy.

Is that nylon pad hard? Or is it pliable like the foam tape? I think if it was hard, then the bolt would still make a sound. But, it it gives some, then it wouldn't.

Have you tested it out yet? I'd be currious to know how well it works.

if tried it out and it works fine. no, the nylon pad isn't hard, it is quite bendable. but u gotta make sure that it isn't to thick or else,as i said, the gun will sputter and recock.
but this mod is super easy and really quiets it significantly. u can tell even by just cocking the gun back, (no co2), and firing. i shot 20 balls out. perfection. :)
by the way, mimos, where is the sonoran desert?
Hmmmm... Looks like it would really silence your gun ontop of what I did:D
I'm off to try it!

Cool, I think I'm going to go out and get a pack of those. My foam tape always falls off after a while.
Heh, check your private messages specter, I sent one out that covered that, and the painting stuff.:)

i did,
thanks yo. ok well, does anyone know how to silence the sear click? and PLEAAAASE dont send me m98center.com because that place has so many mods written by kids who don't know what i a sear is so they use terms to describe it and it confuses the hell outta me. thanks!!
Try putting a little electrical tape on top of the sear where the bolt rests.
I didn't try this, so I am guessing...

i already tried that. when u do that, the sear cant catch the bolt.

Put the tape on the bottom flat part of the rear bolt. (The part that the tip of the sear hits.)
You can't effectively silence that. It really needs that metal on metal contact there.
I've tried electrical tape, shrink wrap, glues... nothing will work there. It's just something needed with the contact there.
And your modification with that pad has been posted at m98center.com many times. The most effective thing I've personally tried was rubber, actually.

You can't effectively silence that. It really needs that metal on metal contact there. Drill a hole in the center of the pad. So the vavle pin will hit the actual bolt face, but the bolt face won't hit the valve face.

ive done the silenced mod just today, but using a piece of velcro. w/ this mod is there any problem with the gun not shooting as far as it should. i havent tested out the mod yet cause i have no co2.
No, Mimos... not there. I am talking about the hammer/sear contact. Not the hammer/valve pin contact.

no there are no problems, just make sure that the padding isn't thicker than what i specified above, or else, ya, there will be a problem firing; the gun sputters and decocks.
i've heard about the bike tire think, and mimos, i'll try what u were talking about :)
