I think he meant that he doubts any kits are available...

And sadly, he's right. There used to be a 98 pump conversion kit available (something about laws in Australia against semi-auto paintguns, IIRC), but that was ages ago, and they haven't been readily available since.

Turning a 98C into a pump, that really depends on how you plan to do it. You can cheat it, but taking the connecting rod out, milling a slot in the body and connecting a pump arm to the bolt. The valve would still be semi-auto, but you'd have to pump to load paint.

You can also try and ruin the blowback, by filling in the hole in the valve a little (the one the valve pin goes through - make the pin thicker with some heat shrink) or some other method, and attach a pump arm to the cocking handle. That way you have to pump between shots.

It's very doable.

well i took it apart and tried to ruin the blowback by taking the o ring off the rear bolt.. it kinda worked but it still blows back a bit.. i think i might get a friend of mine to mill out a new bolt so i can modify it to work... any more ideas??

That's what I was gonna say. Sell the 98 and put the cash toward a pumped Cocker.

You asked if any kits were out. I responded "I doubt it"

Pretty damn good answer to me...:eyes:

Also, he means that there are kits available, but he doubts that you'll be able to find one. Stop being such a pedantic jerk.
