the outside may but anything scratches just as easy. my old one took a **** ton of abuse and never effected the accuracy or the porting. also a cp one peice and a proto one peice. all around 30 all great accuracy.

What about those stiffi carbon fiber barrels

i love my stiffi but if you are ever going to upgrade guns i would just buy a cheaper barrel because you dont want to have to buy an adapter because they mess with the accuracy and bore to paint match. my friend has a dye ul back with a stiffi tip for his a5 just so if he changes guns he will only have to buy another back so he can use the stiffi ul on both guns. so if you arent ever going to upgrade guns go right ahead i stand behind stiffi but if you are ever going to change guns get a back that you can get a stiffi tip for.

Kinda depends on your price range, and how many different bores you're looking to accomodate. Several companies make nice 1-piece barrels. You could buy one (or more) of those, or try out a 2-piece set with different-sized backs for the different sizes of paint you'll encounter.

get a cheap barrel for your a5 trust me cp, proto, J&J, anything as long as its a one peice barrel you will be fine. dont bother getting a more expensive one its not worth it having a barrel that costs more and will be worth more than your gun.

Dye is good but for woodsball you should go with Smart Parts. They have great barrels, 2 piece or one piece. And if you are looking for a good barrel at a cheap price, go with the Linear barrel 14" or 16". ony 30 some dollars and shoots like a high end marker every time.
