Bad Trader !!! Very Bad Trader !!!

I am a newcomer to paintball and have a traders horror story to tell .I'll show the facts and you be the judge as to whether I'm being too hard or if I have a valid complaint.

The BAD TRADER is "THIS_IS_SHANE"

It started on the semi-auto forum when shane and I came to an agreement on the sale of his spyder se ,tank,mask,etc...
I agreed to give him 150.00 plus 1/2 the shipping for the spyder.

2-25 - I send him a personal check for 160.00.
2-28 - says he didn't get the check.[no problem]
3-1 - says he recieved the check,but would rather have
had cash or money order,says he wouldn't ship
marker until check cleared.[no problem]
3-5 - says his bank wouldn't take my check,but wanted
him to call my bank [I thought that was strange]
I'm getting a little edgy by now,but still patient.
3-7 - says my check hasn't cleared yet ,will not ship my
marker.
3-10 - still hasn't cleared yet . I'm getting mad now,
3-11 - STILL claimes it hasn't cleared yet. but assures
me he isn't going to do me wrong,he says he's
just being cautious,said he was burned before.

It had been over 2 weeks since I sent him the check [ from 2-25 - 3-11 ]and I thought it was a little strange that my check hadn't cleared yet so out of curiosity I go to my bank and ask for them to track down my check,come to find out ,he recieved it on the 5th ,deposited it
[with his signature on the back] and my bank had cleared it on
the 7th. they gave me a photocopy of it,so I have proff !!

NOW I AM REALLY MAD !!!!!!
3-12 - I e-mail him a real heavy and pointed message.
3-12 - he assures me he isn't going to screw me ,and has the gall to say that his bank STILL hasn't cleared my check yet.
3-12 - says he sent the marker off that day and that he was tired of this whole mess and appologized for the inconvience he put me through.

LISTEN TO THIS - 3-13 - tells me that, UPS gave him his
package back and said they need a physical address to send it and that he couldn't send it to my P.O box .
So today I e-mailed him my physical address.
But I'm still out of 160.00 and still don't have a marker !!!

IS THIS A BAD TRADER OR WHAT !!
This really leaves a BAD taste in my mouth!!

I would if I thought it would do any good . The problem is i live in North Carolina, and he lives in Port Angeles Washington.I don't have the money to fly or ride over there .This is kind of a bad first impression of the paintball scene,but I can't brand the whole sport because of one bad player .

well i know how you feel
thats why i never buy anything big from farther than 1 state away
but look on the bright side its only 160 compared to a 1000 angel
and you can road trip with your buddies to his house and jack his car

cancel the check. go to your bank and cancel it! that will make him angry since he stole it and save you 160 bucks.

Tell him to ship it USPS Priority Mail b/c UPS won't send it to P.O BOXES.

paintballer1816 (or something like that) is a bad trader.... he lied to me, and shipped late, and gave me a BAD trade!!!! i sent over like 200 bucks worth, and he gave me about 35 bucks worth..CHEAP!!!!!! it sucks, the stuff he gave me is no good to!!!

The bank had already cleared the check before I even suspected any foul play, but I do have all records { e-mails of the transaction, copy of the cashed check with his signature , etc..}
So I think I have a pretty good chance of winning.
It's a shame that I have to result to all this I would have never said nothing but praise about , This_is_shane aka Shane Martin ,
if he would have just done his part. He gives Paintball a bad name ! By the way this would have been my very first marker, I am STILL completely new to the sport. Randy

This_is_shane finally ,after 3 days , sent me a e-mail today , Sat. 3-16 , and said that he sent the marker and etc.. ..............
on wend. 3-13 .......................

Wow man, I truly am sorry. That sucks what he is doing to you. You SHOULD go to the police, or contact your attorny; they should be able to help.

that is the number one reason why i dont buy use stuff. you dont know what you are getting and like you said you might not get it at all. GOOD LUCK

ya im down with beating the **** out of this *** hole. damn to bad he lives in washington i live in cali if he lived a little loser id go and get the **** for you. Man i hate whan this **** happens to people it happened to my friend with his mag but after constant threats the guy finally sent it back to him with a lot of stuff missing. my advice is to get the cops on him for mail fruad and well it may be a little unorthadox but say your going to go to his house like over spring break and **** up his house/ car beat him up etc. It worked in my friends case. o and if you decide to do that lemme know ill go with i have powers of persuasion ie ill beat him with my boomstick good luck with this though i hope everything works out, Dave

NO !!! I still haven't recieved it yet . Shane says he mailed it last wend. 3-14 , he gave me a tracking # that didn't work when i tried it on the US postal service website, but today i went to my local post office and asked them to try the # and they said it had indeed been mailed out . Buuuttt...... still waiting ...................

Don't get me wrong , if I recieve my marker i will post that here also so everyone knows ,but the point of the matter is whether or not he's a good or bad trader... i have only posted the facts,
I wish no bad tidings for Shane but he hasn't been trading fairly with me and thats all i ask of anyone , he should have , at his own cost , sent the gun on overnight shipping just to clear his name and show fairness to me [it has been almost a month since i sent him my check - 2-25 - 3-20 ] taking a month to send me my package is totally shameful, i would have went out of my way to get him the package if it was the other way around.
I did not threaten him, I simply told him what I would do , within the confines of the justice system,if he did not hold up his end of the deal, thats all i wanted , what i paid for !!!!!

As I promised ! This_is_shane came through , today I recieved my marker, THANK YOU SHANE !!! and I say that in a good way.
Also everything was there and in decent shape,plus he threw in a pair of gloves,thank you again Shane.
Although this has been a very nerve racking experience and that I recieved everything , I have learned a huge lesson in trading over the net . From now on I will use an escrow service or something similar,not saying everyone is a bad trader, but this is business when you are dealing with someones money or merchandice.
Well now that this is settled,... lets play !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
