I am new to paintball and have bought a tippmann 98 custom platnum edtion . I would like to know the difference between the e-trigger and the responce trigger?

etrigger of course is faster, lighter trigger pull and well electric. It has multiple fire modes, but uses 9v batteries. Its a direct bolt on application.

the RT requires installation of fittings, hose and the RT kit into the frame. Slower ROF, harder pull and uses more air.

IMO both are worthless, as upgrading tippmanns is a complete waste of money. Only thing I suggest putting on a tippmann is a decent aftermarket barrel and calling it good.

I would go for the etrigger with APE board, responce triggers are to inconsistant, and dont always give you the desired effect, i have a was eqilizer board in mine and it ripps 98cp Bt rip clip, smart parts freak jr barrel, dead on rva, rocket cock 2. dont listen to the last post, cause its obvious he dosent like tippmanns and is probly a speedballer, who are all biased against woodsballers enyhow. hope this helps

actually Im a scenario/big game player. Tippmanns are worthless to upgrade bc in the end it still shoots like a tippmann. I know of way to many people who have dropped hundreds of dollars into their tippmann when they could have bought a better and higher performing gun. While your guns shooting 4' groupings at 8bps, im either 1 balling you or laying a hopper into you with a 3" grouping due to my guns better consistancy, less kick and much more superior platform.

just common sense.

Im gonna have to agree with bush on this one. I used to be a diehard tippmann fan, then i started to realize there are better guns. Unless theres some way you find an e bolt(not happening) it will always shoot like a tippmann. Dont get me wrong, tippmanns are great starter guns, and i do reccomend them because theres not alot you can do to screw them up, thing is, most tippmann fans are diehard "woodsballers" who have a complex that if it isnt a tippmann it will break, and have never really tried any other guns. But on that note, dont get into the idea that the gun makes the player. Unless you have a bottomless bank account and can afford 3 cases of paint a game, money really cant buy skill(and even then it cant, it can only assist)
