regulator question

i just bought my first nitro tank for my m98 and its preset at 900 psi. i dont have a regulator and i wanted to know if 900 psi is too high to go directly into the gun? if so, what pressure should a regulator be set at?

I don't know what kind of a tank you got.....but all the preset tanks I know of come set at 800psi.which should be fine for a stock marker....

i didnt wanna spend a lot of money so i got a crossfire. i ordered it off of BBT and the description said it comes preset at 900 psi. thanks for the help anyway
