Hello to all my fellow paintballers at pbreview. I have been paintball for about 6 months. I own a trilogy pro. (mech) I have a 10" boomstick slapped on, and at close-medium range it already fires as straight as a bullet. However, it is a bit slow, and I want it to fire fast, but I don't feel like dropping $300+ on an eblade. I am thinking I should either get a new gun, or upgrade my current one to shoot faster. I don't want to exchange accuracy for speed, and I don't want to spend a lot of money.

What would be the best, cheapest option?

If it is to upgrade, can you recommend some things that will help me shoot faster? Or if it is a new gun, can you recommend a gun that wouldn't take away too much accuracy, but would have speed?

Thank you.

Well mechanical guns can't really shoot that fast, and to me to shoot faster you'd be better off buying a better gun than slappin that eblade on. For $300 you can get a Mini or G3, both quality guns for the price. Neither of which needs upgrades from the get go (maybe a new barrel) If you're tight on money consider like an Ion or Vibe maybe, but idk that much about Smart Parts things. Both guns would need some upgrades to satisfy you most likely. The Proto slg is pretty dece considering the price i've heard, but you should do some research. Look around at what companies have to offer price-wise and then compare guns from there for the little things.

accuracy is dependant on quality of paint, quality of barrel, paint to barrel bore size match, and consistency of regulators on the gun. the whole thing about "autococker accuracy", while it may have been true comparing to other markers made in the 90's, is complete bs now.

i dont like to tell people what they should or shouldnt do with their money, but buying an e-frame for a trilogy would not be an effective investment. things like the ion, mini, g3, slg and a huge selection of used guns are available for the same price you would pay to upgrade the trilogy, and would offer better all around performace.

the main issue with these is that they require compressed air, while the trilogy can be run on co2. however, if you were to install an electronic frame on the trilogy, compressed air would be equally essential.

id recommend you go to a local store and ask to take a look at their markers, see what feels good in your hand and offers the features you want for your budget.
