if the g3 has eyes it should not chop. maybe the peps you know have the eyes off? I have heard nothing but good about the g3.

He means the Spec-R.
I haven't heard anything honestly. But in my book you should never buy a marker within the first 6 months of it's release. That's usually when those 'mass production' bugs are found. I would just keep my ear to the ground and keep checking the forums and see the issues that are occurring and how and when they are clearing up.

I purchased my G3 shortly after Xmas and while I haven't had a chance to use it on the field yet, I have been able to put about 1,000 balls through it. I use Marballizers exclusively for playing. I have some XO's and Proballs that I got on sale and tried those as well. The Marbs and Proballs were flawless and had no chop/barrel breaks. The XO's on the other hand are very brittle and are picky as to barrels size. The G3 has a .689 barrel back and the XO's prefer a .693. I swapped out the barrel back with my Rev-i and the problem of barrel breaks went away. Could be that the people who were complaining about chopping didn't size their paint to the barrel back or didn't know the difference between chops and breaks (paint in receiver vs paint in barrel).
