Does or did J&J Performance make a metal edge kit or are they all ceramic?

their gen 1/2 systems were yes. I own a 4pc gen 2.

Found a kit on ebay, 3 backs and 1 12" front. Seller says he thinks it ceramic but not sure. The photo makes the kit look rather shiney as opposed to dull/matte finish on the ceramics. If it is a metal kit, will tips from my a5 ceramic kit work with the metal backs? I know someone is gonna say "just get some cocker threaded backs and use them with the a5 kit." Cheapest I have found the backs is $40 apiece. I like having 3 backs and if I can get the one on ebay significantly cheaper then that's what I'll do, given ceramic fronts will work with metal backs.

all the fronts work. However I found the aluminum fronts to be much better then the ceramic ones (assuming they are the flared tips) the straight porting ceramic tips were amazing.

Yeah, the kit I have for my a5 has straight fronts not the flared fronts. I love this kit but rarely us my a5. I'm looking at this other kit mainly for the backs. Well, guess it's off to ebay to see what we can make happen.
