Which parts of the C98 should I oil? I know to oil the o-rings, but my friend claims to oil the springs, is there anything else?

all the orings (probably not the tank oring)
anything that rubs against the internals of the gun

Oil - linkage are groove (part that the arm between the hammer and bolt sits in), and the rear hammer area.
After that, put 2-3 drops of oil in your ASA gas up the gun and fire about 30 dry shots with the barrel off to cycle oil through the valve and lightly coat all the internal o-rings.

In the manual it says to oil the front bolt, rear bolt, and the linking arm. I don't think you need to oil anything else but I put white lithium grease on the barrel o-ring and on my Co2 tank o-ring before I screw them on.
