I have a Gt Commando with a 12" Quiet Riot barrel, everything else is stock. I am having a problem with paintballs breaking in the barrel before exiting. I have had this problem ever since I first purchased the product in question. E-mailing the manufacturers has done no good, and I have found little help on other forums and FAQ's, so I turn here now, my last hope. My assumption is that the detent wire (anti double feed) is knifing or pinching the balls when they are shot. But without the wire in the obvious happens, the gun double feeds. Changing the velocity only affects trajectory and bending the wire to various angles has done nothing to help and only weakened it. I have not resorted to making my own version of the detent wire yet but that is the next step, I can only go by trial and error from here. Thank you in advance.

What kind paintballs are you using? Maybe the paint to barrel match is too big. I think that wire detents aren't very good and are too rough. I had a raptor and it would do that sometimes. It was horrible. Try bending the detent to find a nice medium. Then put tape on it. I had to put tape all around my raptor to stop the wire detent from flying off when I shot.

I have used zap, venom, great american, nelson. Same result with all of them. I'm a newbie so I don't use expensive paint yet, plus with all the ball breaks it'd be like shooting money out the barrel.

Get better paint. All the paint you named I have had bad results with. Nelson and Great american and Zap broke for me a lot. It was horrible. Try something smaller bore. Get PMI Premiums. They are great low priced paintballs.
