stingray II question

Ok my stingray II is leaking gas really bad anybody have any suggestion on what to do it is just a back up gun tho so it dont really matter if i cant fix it but one of my friends wants to use it

Well depends where exactly is it leaking out of? I've tinkered with my stingray and fixed leaks in it few times, I might be able to help. :)

sounds like it is coming out of barrel

well as it turns out I have a stingray I, but the I and II are almost exactly the same so it shouldn't be much of a problem. Have you tried tightening the velocity adjuster? It's the little hole at the top of the gun where theres a hole and a screw inside. You'll need an allen wrench set to tighten it. screw it clockwise until it cannot screw in anymore. Then try hook up your air and see if it still leaks. If that doesn't work post again and I'll list some other stuff you can try do.

Also before you gas up your gun put a couple of drops of airlube down the asa connection then gas it up and fire it a couple of times. ALso make sure the gun is cocked before you gas it up.
