most people online was in 2006 with 932 people online, right now only 96 people are online. It's too bad, you'd think since paintball is growing more people would be on here. I guess everyone's questions are answered :).

but why is it that people are so biased towards pnreview? Isn't it almost like pbn's twin? they are layed out and operate the exact same way.

They're still there; you just have to change your viewing settings to older than a month.:|

It's not even at 50% of what traffic it used to get from 2004-2007ish.
PBN and PBR both us vBulletin, are forums about paintball, and had some members using both sites but that is all the similarity there was. PBN was much larger and as a result wasn't as much of a tight-knit community that PBR was.

Everyone went to PBN.
Reason forums lose members because of moderation = banning and kicking people out. Eventually, everyone runs out of new members to add. It's just the way things go.

So you're saying that EVERYONE was banned? I find that hard to believe that everyone would have done something against the rules and got banned.

I have been on here for years and have never been banned

I originally started using PBR a few years before I joined PBN and I was always a little more fond of PBR. However, PBR has kind of fizzled away in recent years and PBN has blown up immensly. Such a shame :(

It is a shame though. Ive used this site for reviews on equipment before I bought them. Now nobody posts anymore. Quite a shame.

It's too bad, I liked this place back in the day, but once activity started to dwindle I switched over to PBN. I think that's just what happened to most of the active users.

It all went downhill after Andrew left. Demand Media has never really cared for the forum. It's just a way for them to get ad revenue from the review sections. They have a bunch of administrators in name only.

All the people that brought life and personality to this forum were banned in a big wave a few years back...around the time they introduced agents. Hence, the forum died. We all found it hard to believe at the time too, trust me.

The spam has toned down because I have a registration block in place that requires manual activation. I tested it a few weeks ago by taking it down and within 24 hours we had something like 25 posts on here.

this is sad....pbr >>>> pbn
This site was much better....especially the cocker forum and BST forums...
wow.
this makes me think paintball is dying....or at least the only part growing is a bunch of kids who buy exspensive guns and quit in a year
I forgot what my original account user name was back in the day and the email it was on no longer exist so I made a new account. I hope that isn't a bannable offense, but I did not want people to think this is my first post.

Trust me bro, there is nothing to ban lol. So long as you're not a Nigerian banker or a russian mail order bride, or a canadian porn star, you're fine.

I agree...I figured, since I'm about the only one on here that is regularly on, I should at least try to write some reviews and relevant info. I've been on here I think since 2008 or so, and it was always pretty busy! Exactly what weeraz said, paintball is filled with kids who get $700 setups for Christmas and quit or break their stuff when it malfunctions. On 'Nation, I read all kinds of stuff about people breaking their equipment because they get angry or whatever. Even at my local field, there are only a few regulars. The rest are rich, snobby kids with the $600 Dye DM whatever and of course the $200 HPA tank and $100 worth of paintball pants and other equipment, and when my team and I, with our crappy, hand-me-down gear, own them, they don't go back out on the field. I think paintball is dying, or at least changing base into the more "I have better equipment than you, therefore I'm better" state of mind. Anyway, that's just a 17 year old kid's point of view on what's going on with our sport.
Anyway, how is everyone that's still here?
