I like my markers to have twice the number of moving parts as an impy.
More hoses, MORE HOSES.
I get to use cute names like, SuckMyCocker, and cockerzrule.
I really feel the need to spend 3 times as much to get the same quality.

Cockers are great if you can maintain them your self, but its just too much to chance going into a tourney and have the timing go out, I can fix everyone of my teammates Imps in a matter of minutes, but you call us morons? We have Angel techs, Cocker techs, AGD techs, Tippy techs, Spyder techs, Piranha Techs, and Smart Part techs, we could shoot any marker we want and we all use Impulses, with a few Angels in there as well. Most of the people are here to learn something about they're markers and then some smart ***** little kid who buys a second hand cocker with nothing better to do, comes in and has to interject his uneducated opinion. Cockers would have died out if it wasnt for the Dye Cocker, so be thankful someone had the sympathy to keep those old dinosaurs working.

Ok back to the question, you need to clean the entire Max-flo, just not the cap end, go to SP new website and follow the step by step instructions on how to do it, or go to your local pro shop and have them show you.

cocker is definilty a betta gun than a impy, by far. other electros such as a angel or a matrix compare to mid end cockers, electros are for pansies who wont move up and just sit behind there bunkers and shoot their "14bps with no chops". get sum balls and play paintball, dont play w/ sum electro gun. your 14bps arent very accurate either, but ull prob hit sumtin with ova 100 shots in ur first minute, but when u get down and reload, ur a** is gonna b bunkered by me, and ill shoot u right in the neck, so u cry and go home and whine at ur mommy that sum kid shot u within a 15ft distance rule and then yelled suckmycocker. learn how to play instead prayin and sprayin. notice the differnt in words from "PLAY" and "PRAY", there not the same.

That would be they are, a contraction being "they're." "There" is referring to a place. I.E. - I was going there after paintball.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I can respect the fact that you love Autocockers and you live and die by them. They are good markers, why else would they still be around if they weren't? But just because you own an Autococker doesn't mean that all other guns suck. And the fact that you make threats over the internet is pretty rediculous as well. If I like my Impluse and you like your Autococker, awesome... that's why they make different guns, so you have a variety to chose from to best fit YOUR style of play. Respect people's opinions, don't throw them to the ground, it's like saying "I like punk rock, so all other music sucks." All that does is create an opinioned arguement that gets no one anywhere.

However, The fact that you are saying all people with electronic markers are people who spray and pray is pretty immature. Stereotyping players just because of the gun they have is wrong. Some people feel that an electric marker best suits their front style of game play (or any style that is) because they need to make quick snapshot bursts as fast as possible. One who might be worried about short stroking on an Autococker would maybe use an electronic marker (it is their call on which gun to use) because it has a less tendency to break a ball in the chamber. That's just an example that came to mind.

Pretty much, all guns have their weaknesses and strengths. Respect the player, not the marker. You've probably heard it a million times, but its the player not the gun. Wether I play a newbie with and Angel or a veteran with a Model 98 as long as they have a good time, and me, isn' t that what matters? You're happy with your Autococker (I would be too), I am happy with my Impulse (Why wouldn't I be!?), so lets go out and play, not bicker on the forums over who can shoot faster and which gun is better.

i read a forum here recently, and it was about the never-ending closed vs. open bolt topic. one of the things said was: "it dosen't matter what gun you're using, put a freak with the same paint/barrell match, benchmount them, and measure the groupings. you will notice little to nothing of a change." not the exact words-but pretty close. i belive dasbaldog was in that conversation as well.

first of all, do we really need all the cocker bashing? its hurting my feelings... that said I will get to my point. There is no universal best gun, only best guns for a particular person, thus "this gun vs that gun" is erelivent. if you saw somebody playing pro using his stingray and he loved it, and he played his best with that gun, why would I tell him his gun sucks and to get a new one? the fact is is that I don't care if you use a IR3 angel or a slingshot if you can hang with the big dogs it doesn't matter... personaly I love my cocker, but I will be getting a impulse hopefully pretty soon(keeping my cocker of course) and then at some point I want a GZ timmy. but guys come on lets be the bigger man and stop all this bashing its like when we where kids and we would resort to the "I bet my dad could beat up your dad" saying when we got into a little argument.

P.S. honestly all the cocker bashing is seriously making me feel bad. have some respect for echother, and that goes to the cocker people argueing in here too. markers are markers we are all here to have a good time, don't ever forget that...

You guys kill me sometimes, anyway the offer Legend gave out applies to anyone who wants to practice, play or offer a challenge, our RatDog field is free to play, bring your own paint or buy ours, but I bet ours is cheaper and fresher ;) We play Sup'Air and have a field we call bunker city, very fast and extremely fun, for the Rec guys we have castle to castle and a secluded fortress.
We live in the Thumb area of Michigan a small place called Lapeer, we usually have anywhere from 2 to 7 teams practicing with us.

Down the line, if you are coming to the shop this Saturday, please come around 10:00, we will be having team practice that day and if your not here early, you may have to wait on your Rat to be built, sorry but we have a tourney next week in West "By God" Virginia and we need to practice our 3-man skills

i would just like to make one comment (i.e. dont get me involved in this)......i come as a respectable member of the southern paintball community when i say that we don't favor the attitude of this so called "dirty south boy".....in fact most players from the south are very nice and will gladly help anyone who needs help (trust me....when i was a newbie i had many people come up to me and offer their assistance)....people like ANS are exactly the kind of people that well become a detriment to paintball society and act as a negative influence.....so i ask you to not judge all o' us southern boys the same as ANS because he is definetly not the kind of player you should expect to find in the south;) ;)

AnsX2Cocker, what started this topic was a guy who wanted opinions, I work and manage a Paintball store and see tons of markers come through the door, so my opinion was based on the facts I see all day long, I am also a Master Electrician so I know the benefits of Electro-pnuematics markers, something goes wrong, swap out the boards and your ready to play again. Cockers in the hands of new players are troubles waiting to happen, note I said New Players, experienced PBallers will learn they're marker inside and out and know even the slightest noise change. As far as Electro's being for losers, Im sure the All Americans, Avalanche, Strange, GZ and many others will be disappointed to learn the revelation, so please if you want to argue your point do so with some maturity and facts to back up your claims

whatever..it's all good....u should come up and play some ball with us NC boyz....u'd be surprized how we play....Bob Long came to one of the Regional tourneys to see how we ball up here......VERY AGGRESIVE....not to many players sit back and throw paint the whole game..most games dont go the distance and only last for a few minutes.....it'z crazy!:crazy: .....every game u got someone goin for flag off the break...when both teams do it it's crazy...2 guys, 1 on each side of flag bunker, awesome bunker moves!!...u gotta come see a game...u'd be impressed at the Amateur games:agree: :freak: :agree:

I'll give you one more resion to buy an Electro over a cocker.

Shooting wrong handed.

I have used a cocker for YEARS, I'm a certifed cocker tech, and we built custome cockers. And oh yeah, once in a great while I have been seen playing paintball.

But when you are in a turny, you MUST be able to shoot out both sides of the bunkers. Everyone knows that cockers--esp the highly tuned cockers-- are sensitive to the way the trigger is pulled. One MUST consitenly pull the trigger the same.

I have seen VERY FEW fokes that can pull a cocker the same with their left hand that they pull with the right hand.

Now if you are playing in your freinds back yard, shooting "wrong handed" is not Important-- the guys you play against won't reconize your major error in play. But show up at a turn with some good prizes or a national event, and your "shoot out only one side style" will have ou out of the game so fast that you will never have a chance to show off your shooting ability.

Plan fact of life--an Electro is MUCH easier to shoot "wrong handed" and even if you had some advanage "right handed" the electro will give you the over all advange in a game.

hey I just got skills like that, I think it might come from being a switch hitter if you know what I mean :laugh:. and I think when I get my dye hinge in its gonna be a lot easier but you are right about the trigger thing kinda. see thats the kinda opinions we need, no bashing just a nice solid opinion/fact(I use the slash because that might not be a fact for some people that can pull it fine on either side)
