If you'r velocity is at it's max, and still a bit below 280 fps, is there anything to do to make it shoot with a greater velocity? If there is more than one way, please name them all.

Thanks a lot.

Use a stiffer main spring. Order a kit of springs like the Madman kit or the Shocktech kit. Then you will have enough to get the velocity you want. They are under $10 at most shops.

I would recommend the Madman Spring Kit

I have both a madman and a shocktech kit, and the madman is more complete, it comes with 3 main springs, 2 valve springs, a trigger spring and a sear spring. The shocktech comes with only mainsprings but it comes with 4 different ones. If all you are after is a velocity change all you need is main springs but the other springs in the madman kit are nice to have too if you ever go LP you will need the valve springs. They are both quality kits though.

32* set..comes with 3 different valve springs(soft-med-firm) for both a compact and regular spyder body.....and 3 different striker springs(soft-med-firm)....

you can just put a lighter valve spring in and leave the striker spring you have ..and that will incress your vel...

or leave the valve spring....and put a stiffer striker spring in....

either will let the valve stay open longer thus incressing the amount of air that passes to the ball wich will incress velocity.....

Hope that helps....

Stretch out the main spring, or put a shim (small metal space made out of anything you can find) between the mainspring and velocity adjuster. Those will increase your velocity.

What would the sear and valve spring do?

Thanks,

I reccommend the Maddman kit. IF you have a spyder, we have a generic spring kit which is cheaper but has the same type of springs.

Both the springs that you are talking about, sear and valve, are not things that you really need to change unless you are doing a trigger job. If you do that you will want to change your trigger spring and make it shorter or ligher.

What is the point of the sear spring?
