3 man tactics

Hey im going to a 3 man tourny and can you guys tell me some 3 man tactics that work well.

The only real tactics i've used in a 3 man tourny is move as a group. Have you ever seen a swat team? They have 1 person move at a time, and if they see someone they don't shoot, they tell the others in the group. This works really well in a play to the last man game, that has alot of cover.

Otherwise flank tactics work well.

First, the back player need to yelling out the other teams position all the time. I don't use codes, just, "LEFT FAR BACK," kind of thing.

Second is the back guy should pick a side, and as soon as the whistle blows lay a stream of pant down the lane to cut off any of the other team going to the side. Hopefully you'll nail the guy and be one-up in the first 5 seconds of the game.

Third: Don't go over the top of bunkers unless you have to. Lean out the sides.

Fourth: Make sure eveything is working. Gun, air, hopper. Remember to turn on Revvys and open up powerfeeds.

I'm sure there's more...

Really, the communication is a HUGE deal and will really help.

comminication is a key. have one player go up left, one up right, and have one play back and lay paint everywere.

It seems like everybody is just agreeing with everybody else. Communication and play smart. Wow, who would have thought.

depends on how long the field is, but if you can reach there end with paint. Have a guy lay down a ton of paint on just one side of the field right off the whistle so all there guys have to run to the other side. then you can just run dow the rop and get a good shot on them.

A idea I had just the other day is have 2 back players for the 1st 20 sec of the game.

For example:
From the start point behind the starting bunker. One guy go right and his job is to lay a stream of paint between the other team's start bunker and the bunker on the right.

On the left you have a guy run flat out to to the left tape bunker. As soon as he's out of the line of fire, have the 3rd guy repeat what his bud is doing on the right.

The whole object is to get one of your teammates to a side, yet pin or elim the other team as they first move out of their starting bunker.

It's a plan I had this week. Too bad I'm taking pix of the tourny on Sun and won't be in to try it. I'll tell that plan to my bud who's playing.

The tournament im going to is in Standish Maine at Rigue Paintball. Have you ever heard of the Paint Girls i think im playing them but there site says that they are an international level team but its only going to be a rookie tourny.

Leap Frog. Its when theres 3 people in a row and the last guy moves up front to a new bunker while the other 2 covers him.

u wanna move ure players up fast! send em to the side
and u go up the midle.then keep moving up together the guys on the sides will have angles like mad crazy! but u must always talk..say my mirror if the opposing member is right infront of ure bunker let each other know where every1 is..keeep talking but move up the field fast! remeber play tight always talk

I agree with me funny.

The keys to this type and any type of pb senario is communication. You need to be loud and need to know what is going on. Be sure to call out the opponents positions, movements, and numbers(how many are left).

Next would be movement. I am a pretty agressive player so I reccommend always move foward. Leap frog. Have 2 player cover while the 3rd moves forward for position. Once it is secure, move another and another.

Thanks for all the help guys. We didnt do so well in the tourny we probably could have done better. We had some difficulties with penaltys in the first game which killed our morale.

What do you mean penalty's ? What palce did you finish out of how many teams?

In the first game i had a hot gun and one of my players lifted his mask during play(i almost killed him). That put us at -19 after the first game. Then in the second game we moved up fast got the first flag pull and were covering/moving well. Then our front man with the flag got shot. After that they just started to pic us of one then the other. I had a hot gun again. There were 4 more games that we played in we ended 10th out of 16 teams. We played hard but couldnt contented with the teams. We thought we going to play less involved teams. We made alot of simple mistakes but we know we did wrong. We are going to try to get in alot of practice between now and our next tourny. Thanks for asking.

Well, practice makes perfect... Its the little things that really add up.

Alright, last time I played my friends and I compiled an ingenius, yet simple idea. Which if done right, can be lethal. Alright... Set up in a "V" form, with the tip of the "V" heading towards the guy you wanna bunker. Now have the guys on each other side of the Pointman lay down heavy fire on the bunker so that the guy(or girl) occupying it can't see what the hell's going on. Now have the Pointman drop down infront of the bunker and then as soon as he gets up against it, the other two stop and the Pointman pops over the side. But if their is more than 1, you may want to incorporate all 3 of your men into the raid/assault/bunker. (Be forewarned, if they have someone longballing or calling out that you're comming, yer screwed. So be very careful when incorporating this little plan)
