newbie stupidity

the first time i went paintballing, i was using traccers along with about 10 others from my church youth group. one game, we were playing attack and defend...and i was defending a city. i got into a "house" and stood there...basically the whole game. this arena was on a large hill...and the city was at the bottom. my house had a door in it, and the bottom of the house at the back had a crack.... in the middle of the game...one of my team players walked behind my house and i thought it was an enemy trying to sneak up on me. i yelled WHO ARE YOU!! and they didnt reply. so my instinct was that he was on da opposing side. i shot him in the foot from....3 feet away.....and he was jumping up and down yellin WHY DA HECK DID YOU DO THAT!!!! and later i found out he was trying to sneak up on the enemy. that same game, after i shot him...i was still in that house...one guy was trying to get inside another house....and i thought he was an enemy...this house was...about 30 feet away...and with my pump...i kept on shooting at him.....cuz i thought he was an enemy. he had a PUFFY green sweat shirt that was contrasted by the white houses...and i shot him about....8 times. all 8 times they bounced...and some of the shots just....barely touched him. it was very annoying...and later realized that he was on my side. i had a problem forgettin about those arm bands.

Whats a church youth group? no for real i havent ever been in one nor do i plan on it. To be honest i havent gone to church in around 1 year.Y do i need to go listen to some old guy talking about god when i can read the bible or pray whenever i want without having to give my spare change

Don't knock Church Youth Groups. If the youth group takes to the field, the church pays for it, not you. :)

we have a youth group and its not so bad... i dont go to it but my sister does, they go rollerblading and stuff..

well......this is the pride i have for god. i'd give up paintball anyday for god. nemessis....u've never felt the love of god...its just amazing. u say u dont need to spend ur spare change on god?? do u at least believe in him?? he died for you, on the cross, had 5 in nails driven into his wrists, and ankles.....jesus christ...who is all pure, had no sin....no guilt..... and u think even spare change isnt worth it?? i mean...no offense....a lot of people think like that. but my youth group is awesome. we are like one big family man. my pastor is tyte too. we play tackle football all da time, we go out to eat, go paintballin, movies....everything. most of my best friends are in my youth group...

That's cool PB ... I was in a youth group like that when I was in Jr/Sr high. It was a lot of fun, but we didn't play paintball :(

Don't eliminate youth groups from this thread Counter ... that's how many kids get introduced to Paintball. there's a church youth group that visits the field I play at almost every weekend. As an instrument to introduce new players to this sport, youth groups are very important.

Counter, no offense, but I think you're missing the point of some of these posts. Most are about Youth Groups playing paintball. If this were a discussion strictly about Youth Groups, yeah, move it to Off Topic. But I think as long as the posts include paintball, 1st experiences with the sport, and/or how membership in such a group introduced players to the sport, it should remain in this forum.

Muck, your missing my point. I wasn't talking about his whole thred. The initial thred and most of the posts are fine. I was talking about the posts that were disscusing whether youth groups were good or not. I don't want arguments about religon or youth groups in a paintbal related thread or forum.

I agree counter ... sometimes we all have a tendency to "wander" off subject. It happens in every thread in every forum. But I wouldn't move it to Off Topic, cause we eventually return to the subject.

Ok, back to the original post (so that u guys dont kill each other over youth groups), the very first time I went paintballing I also shot someone in the foot. I was camping in a "house" and someone came through the door. I didnt know whether he was on my team or not, but I shot him. He yelled that it hurt like hell. But the funny thing was that he never figured out that it was me that shot him, and I never told him. He just figured the opposing team must have got him. Never under-estimate the power of denial...

The first time i was paintballing i was also in a "house" and my friends o-ring broke and his co2 was spraying everywhere. He started to walk to the dead zone and as he past my bunker i accidently pulled the trigger of my pump gun and hit him in the chest! He was pretty mad at me, but he lived.

hehehehehehe that would really bite you try to shoot some guy out who got you out last game find out you just shot a preacher/priest hehehhe you're all happy till you see him after the game and he condemns you :) j/k :)

one time i was playing forward at a field(my first time)...and after i got out(this place rented traccer pumps and automag verticals for semi rental...14 people had traccers, 2 guys rented automags) and well...da guy with a mag shot me a couple times in the chest...so i stood up saying "im out" and the second i stand up one of my team members shoot me in the back. da sucky thing is....none of the breaks on my chest or my back broke...i just got shot about 6 times with no break and i got out for dat game.
